I took a breath. I needed to relieve my stress. One way was partying. Another is fighting but I didn't dare to step into the ring. I couldn't. Chase came up to me, putting a hand on my shoulder. I slowly looked at him.

"There's a race tonight, wanna go?" He whispers. I furrowed my eyebrows. "I know you race. I'm not stupid, Addison."

"I didn't say that." I whisper.

"I know but you seem stressed. Xavier will meet us there. He mentioned it yesterday. Asked me to ask you if you wanted to go." I thought about it for a minute.

"I'll go." I mumble. He smiles at me.

"Good. Afraid I would have to drag you out of the house." The corner of my lips turned up. "There's the smile I missed seeing. Now let's go race."

"I'm not racing you though." I mumble. He pouts.

"The great queen doesn't want to get beat?" He mocks. I narrowed my eyes. "You don't want to get beat by your brother?"

"Keep it up, Chase. You will get beat."

I pulled up to the race. I parked next to Xavier's car and got out. He looked at me.

"You looked drained." Xavier says, putting an arm around my shoulder. I leaned into him. We started walking away from my car.

"I am." I mumble. "Everything is stressful."

"That sucks but hey, no stress tonight." He says, making me look at him. "Let go of your worries."

"Easier said than done." He laughed and my heart warmed up. I look at everybody. "How'd you know I like racing?"

"You told me when you were on painkillers." I looked at him weird. "In the hospital."

"Oh." He nods.

"Yep." He says, looking around.

His eyes connected with someones. His eyes flashed something but it left as quick as it came. My manager came over to me and raised an eyebrow. I looked at him.

"Luke." I mumbled.

"Addison." He says, annoyed.

"Happy to see me?" I ask, a smirk going onto my lips. He frowns.

"Wish you died." He mumbles, making Xavier tense up. I laugh.

"Such humor." He rolls his eyes. Xavier glared at Luke. "So Luke, how's the kids? Still get to see them?"

"Addison. Don't start." He grits out. I roll my eyes.

"Fine. I won't say shit about your family so you can't say shit about mine." He sighs.

"Fine." He looked at my car and back at me. "You're up next."

"Against who?" He shrugs.

"Don't know. Don't care. Get me my money."

"You got it boss." I say, winking at him. He huffs in annoyance and leaves. Xavier looked at me.

"What the fuck man?" I looked at him.

"I'm a woman, Xavier."

"'Wish you died'? Who the hell says that to a person?"

"Person who isn't very happy in life."

"You- I won't start." He mumbles. I nod.

"Good because I wouldn't listen anyway. Now, I have a race to go win." I say, smiling. He sighs. "What?"
