As requested, from Sara_mjrb! Thanks for the Inspiration!

Ah yes... Oumami.... The ship that I see as only platonic... Poor Rantaro... I almost feel sorry for him.

Almost

Anyway! As requested, this will be more insight on Shuichi and Kokichi's relationship and how it came to be.

And now, let's see the plot: before the crowning ceremony, Kokichi needs to clear things up with his father. And what great way to do it if not telling the whole story.

And now, on with the story!

Title: The story of a prince and a sorcerer

Kokichi pov:

"Shu... Do you think he will understand?" I caressed my fiancé's cheek. "I don't know, sweetheart... But I hope your father will understand... You know I have to explain to my family too..." he hissed, troubled.

I took in a deep breath and entered baba's room after he allowed me. He still had the bigger room, I was comfortable enough with Shu in my room that I have and moving things is unnecessary and a pain. Shu just leaved us alone. He was skeptical at first, but allowed it.

"Baba..." I said as I got myself next to the bed, with my knees on the ground and my head and arms on the bed edge. Father was on the bed, looking troubled at me.

"You did a big tantrum yesterday..." he said in a serious tone. "but... I realized I did the wrong too..." he mumbled. "we are both guilty, baba..." I mused. He got near the edge, getting my head in his lap and caressung it.

"I know, my dear... But I want to know... Where did it become so cold in between us." he said. I took in a deep breath.

I remember, since Shuichi came to the Palace... It was when everything started.

~flashback~

No one pov:

"Your majesty! We caught this thief in the market!" the guard's voice boomed trough the room. The buff man was holding by the nape a small boy who was dead of fear as he met the cold eyes of the other guards. Next to them was another guard, a bit more slim, who was holding a leather covered book. It was the kid's book.

The sultan looked at the small child. "it's just a kid..." the ruler reasoned. "it's not just a kid... Your majesty... This monster caused so much trouble... You need to see with your highness's very own eyes what he's capable of!" the guard, who was holding the book, said.

The sultan raised his brows. Behind his throne, a small, purple haired head poked itself. It was another kid who was wearing colorful robes. Those were more clean and expensive than the blue kid's rags. The child had a curious gaze towards the newcomer, who was tossed on the floor, in front of the sultan, the book near him.

The blue haired kid only trembled as he gripped the book in his hand, flipping trough the pages. He started to mumble in some unknown language, moving his hand that sparkled a bit.

From his sleeve, a small white dove flew, but the being exploded mid flying, leaving to fall some white feathers on the ground. The bluenette yelped in surprise, covering his head with his hands because of the sudden loud noise.

The sultan was in awe at the little spell. "Impressive... Truly a shame that he's a poor thief..." the man mumbled, thinking for himself.

The sultan got closer the the blue boy. "What's your name, little one?" "S-s-Shuichi..." the boy trembled. The ruler smiled warmly, patting him on the head.
