An evidently tortured scream of pain was heard from behind you, as you whipped your head around to see your friend covered in blood.

That was all it took to bring you back to reality.

Your blood boiled as you saw the injuries inflicted on your friend.

Injuries that you indirectly caused.

You launched yourself forward, staff protecting you from attacks as you attempted to deflect every single one and dodge the ones you couldn't.

More often than not, you dodged them, out of pure fear and terror of the blades.

I mean, could they really blame you? You were fighting quirkless against someone 100 times more powerful than you.

"You're pathetic, you know?" The criminal taunted, aiming another blade for you. "Covered in cuts but still won't give up because I attempted an attack on your boyfriend."

"Listen buddy, I don't care about my own injuries. I'm training to be a hero. You attacked my upperclassmen, and you're a criminal. Obviously I'm going to go after you," you scoffed, shoving off the blade aimed at your chest.

Everything the villain said was right. Your jacket was torn almost everywhere, and your sweats were starting to look like ripped jeans. Beneath them, blood trickled from the open cuts the blades inflicted on you.

'The jacket,' you thought, remembering something.

As soon as you got close enough, you took the first emergency jar in your pockets and smashed it as a last hope.

Glass sprayed everywhere, creating a distraction for you to figure out your quirk disabilities.

"Shit shit shit, weather hell!" You pleaded, clapping your hands together.

Nothing happened.

"It's not gonna work, girlie. No quirk means no quirk. You can't even use a backup," he smirked, blood trickling down his face from the glass.

"Red Riot?" You called, hoping he was alright because you desperately needed some assistance.

"I told you not to be reckless! Red Riot: unbreakable," Kirishima yelled, hardening his skin more than ever before.

All the blades instantly attacked the stronger, but snapped as soon as they made contact with his skin.

This continued for a short while in which you took the opportunity to get closer and find an opening to trap the criminal.

Kirishima was getting more and more reckless with his attacks, since he was short on time, but they were effective nonetheless.

His last attack sent all the blades back in multiple different directions, blinding the criminal and creating extremely low visibility.

You took the window to knock him out and temporarily handcuffed him with your jacket.

The crowd of civilians around you cheered as both you and Kirishima finished the villain off.

"Red, we can't stay long. He'll be up soon," you urged him, knowing that your knock out tactic was a desperate move.

"Fine, but put on a jacket. Denki will kill me if I tell him guys were staring at you," he responded.

"You're shirtless, I think I'm fine in a tank top. And if Chargebolt has an issue, he can pick that up with me," you shrugged him off, dragging the criminal up.

The unconscious state didn't last long, just as you predicted, and soon a dazed criminal was begging to be let go.

When both you and Kirishima declined the request, he stuck out blades from his back, directly aimed toward Kirishima, and bolted.

Your friend was fine since he hardened his skin, so you postponed his situation and sprinted after the criminal instead.

Neither of you got very far since Fatgum turned the corner and absorbed him, bringing you to a screeching halt.

"Hey Fatgum," you awkwardly finger gunned, trying to reduce the tension.

"You are the most reckless child I've ever met. Congrats on your hero debut though," Fatgum sighed, congratulating the two of you.

"I'm not satisfied," you scoffed. "Kirishima did all the work, I was a liability. When I get my actual debut, I'm gonna make a name for myself."

The three of them looked at you, pride and admiration glimmering in their eyes as you declared your plans with a confident smirk.

"I know you will kiddo," Fatgum grinned, ruffling your hair. "Now, let's get you checked up."

The hospital checkup wasn't too bad, only a few tests needed to be done. The drug samples, however, were instantly handed to the police who'd be on the case.

On the bright side, your quirk should return within the next 24 hours.

But on the other hand...

"We're facing Yakuza," Fatgum realized as he analysed the drug.

"So they've got quirk erasing drugs now, huh," you mumbled, mind preoccupied with what Midoriya told you.

"Seems like it. Go home and get some rest, we've got an early start tomorrow," Fatgum dismissed the two of you.

Kirishima and you nodded and headed to the train station, ready to head back to the dorms.

The two of you were dead tired so the walk was pretty quiet, and you simply slept on each other's shoulders on the train ride home.

"Y/N-chan, get up," you heard him whisper seemingly hours later, as he nudged your shoulder to wake you.

The whole journey, he'd had his arm wrapped around you protectively, so as soon as the warmth went away, you woke up as well.

You yawned, grabbing your bag and followed your friend.

The short walk to campus was refreshing enough to keep you from stumbling over your own two feet, though it didn't change the fact that you'd have preferred a longer nap.

As soon as the two of you entered the building you were greeted with a kiss.

Taken aback by surprise, you pushed the person off, only to realise it was Mei.

"Mei!" You grinned, leaping up to hug her. "Why're you in our dorm?"

"Can't I surprise my girl?" She smirked, pressing a light kiss to your lips.

"Alright lovebirds, no need to make out in the commons. Some of us are still single," Bakugo grumbled.

The conversation continued in a lively manner, shifting from topic to topic, well into the night to the point where Aizawa had to intrude.

"Glad you're all awake, but it's well past curfew," he glared, eyes blazing.

"That reminds me," you realised. "I need a pass to go home tomorrow evening, can you sign one?"

Aizawa rolled his eyes and signed a pass, handing it to you.

"Why'd you need one?" Mei asked.

"You've got a delivery coming to the department tomorrow, I need to get it from home first. It needs a few fixer uppers," you explained, neatly folding the permission slip.

Mei nodded at that, eager to find out what the new project would be. She left the dorm complex and headed to her class' dorm, pondering over your words.

All the remaining classmates in the common room headed up to their dorms, heading straight to bed.

The only issue with that was the fact that your quirk didn't work.

All quirk related things, including the room furniture which you controlled subconsciously, were temporarily out of your control. The usual wind currents had stopped flowing and the cloud had floated up to the ceiling.

Instead of tethering the cloud down like a sane person, you opted to crash in Denki's room, much to Mineta's jealousy.

But on the bright side, the two of you slept peacefully.

Until you received a call at 5 AM.
