A THOUGHT NAGS in Charlie's brain.

What if they recognize me as Maleficent?

It worries her, but she hides the worry well. She had no time for that right now, she's on a mission.

Loading onto the small Quinjet, her and Steve talk aimlessly to each other.

"What are you most afraid of?"

"Fish," Charlie answers immediately, no hesitation. That wasn't the truth, obviously, but she had to say something and she wasn't about to tell him anything with all these people around.

Agent Romanoff and one other agent is the only other passengers on board.

"Who's she?" Romanoff speaks up. The red head hadn't looked at the woman for too long.

"The friend," Steve says in his Captain America suit.

There's a crowd gathered, kneeling in front of the God of Mischief.

"This guy is sick," Charlie comments.

"This is your que, Captain." Natasha calls behind her, opening the back of the hatch.

Steve nods, gripping his shield tighter.

Charlie's mind flashes with a memory.

She stands to the right of Steve, another man on his left. Charlie holds Stevie's shield in her hand, the other man having a gun.

A camp comes into view, a crowd awaiting them.

The soldiers cheer, clapping excitedly at their familiar faces.

The man and Steve look at each other, smiling. Steve wraps an arm around her shoulders, slightly helping her stay up, making sure to not knock the shield in her arms.

That was her. Her and Steve. Who was the other man?

Charlie made sure she would ask Stevie later.

Steve jumps out of the air craft, blocking the blast that was aiming at an old man, with his shield.

"You know, the last time I was in Germany, and saw a man standing above everybody else, we ended up disagreeing." Steve's voice could be heard  by Charlie, even without the ear piece still in their ears.

"The soldier."

Charlie stiffens at the title Loki gave Steve.
