STEVE EXITS THE small car he had picked out, leaving the other three inside.

He had claimed that the car looked discreet and unsuspecting.

Charlie laughed, and decided to not speak up about his choice in unsuspicious vehicles.

"Not sure you understand the concept of a getaway vehicle," Sharon teased as the two met up behind her car.

"It's low profile."

"Good, because this stuff tends to draw a crowd." Sharon opens the trunk, revealing Sam's Falcon wings and Steve's Captain America shield.

"Can you move your seat up?"

Charlie had forced Bucky to sit behind Sam, the two not having the most friendly bond. She wanted some entertainment.

"No."

Charlie giggled, focusing back on the two outside, in front of the car.

"I owe you again." Steve said to Sharon.

Sharon nods, smiling. "Keeping a list." She looks back at Bucky, who had just scootched closer to Charlie to gain more leg room. "You know, he kinda tried to kill me."

"Sorry. I'll put it on the list too. They're going to come looking for you."

"I know."

"Thank you, Sharon."

"You know my Aunt Peggy used to talk about you two." Sharon motioned to Charlie who watched the two men in the car argue.

"Oh, yeah? What'd she say?" Steve smirks, shoving his hands in his pockets and turning to his best friend.

"That you two were bound to be together."

The plane is loud as it flies away. The car the four are in turns two more corners before it's parked besides a white van.

Steve exits immediately, going to greet Clint. Bucky and Charlie pile out of the backseat, both stretching their limbs lazily.

"He so could have picked a better car," Charlie complained again.

"I know," Bucky agreed, dragging out the last syllable.

"How about our other recruit?" Charlie catches that part of the conversation. She looks over from her spot on the side of the car with Bucky.

She recognized the male, but not the female.

Must be the new members Steve had talked about in his letter.

"He's rarin' to go. Had to put a little bit of coffee in him but-" Barton slams open the van's sliding door, startling the man inside awake. "-he should be good."

"What time zone is this?" The man shakily gets out of the car, taking in his surroundings.

"Come on. Come on." Barton motions to Steve, pushing him in that direction.

"C-Captain America!"

"Mr. Lang," Steve greeted politely, shaking the man's hand.

"It's an honor. I'm shaking your hand too long. Wow! This is awesome! Captain America," he looks back at the woman Charlie didn't recognize. "I know you too. You're great!"

Charlie chuckled at the man's behavior. Bucky rolled his eyes.

Land grabs Steve's biceps, eyes widening at the pure muscle under his hands. "Geez. Ah, look, I wanna say I know you know a lot of super people, so... thinks for thanking of me."

"Hey, man!" Lang pointed at Sam.

"What's up, Tic Tac?"

"Uh, good to see you. Look, what happened last time when I-"

"It was a great audition, but it'll never happen again."

"Now I'm curious." Charlie moves out from the side of the car. She waved at Lang. "Charlie Barnes."

Lang pointed to her repeatedly, mouth wide.

"They tell you what we're up against?" Steve ruins Lang's fangirl moment.

"Something about some psycho-assassins."

Charlie looks back at Bucky, scratching the back of her head.

"We're outside the law on this one. So if you come with us, you're a wanted man."

"Yeah, well, what else is new?" Scott grumbles.

"We should get moving." Bucky announced, still on the other side of the car.

"Don't be a rusher, Buck." Charlie rolls her eyes. "Sorry about him."

Bucky grumbled under his breath.

Clint walked up to Charlie, a smile on his face. "Long time, no see."

He hugs her quickly, dodging the glare from Steve. "This is Wanda," Clint finally introduced the female Charlie didn't recognize.

"The new recruit?" Charlie motioned the question to Steve, who nodded in response. Wanda steps forward, extending a hand with a kind smile.

Charlie was weary, not reacting at first. But then her mind cleared.

Wanda was on her team. She was okay.

Charlie put on a small smile, nodding Wanda's way. She still didn't shake the brunettes hand though. Charlie wasn't there yet.

"We got a chopper lined up," Clint spoke up, interrupting the tense moment.

The alarm goes off, a German man announcing something over the PA.

"They're evacuating the airport." Bucky translates for everyone but Charlie.

"Stark," Sam huffs.

"Stark?"

"Suit up."

Finally, Charlie could get out of this dress.
