I AM BESIDE Steve in the large bathroom, watching as he shaves away his long beard. I sit upon the counter, aiming my body toward him.

It had been twenty-three days since the snap. A Carol Danvers was looking for the ship Tony, Peter and Strange were in. She had showed up on Earth a few days ago, claiming that Nick Fury called her in.

But she found us instead. Fury got snapped away.

"You missed a spot," I point out near the bottom of his chin. I take the razor from his hand, carefully shaving away the white cream. "There you go."

He looks over at me, a hard look on his face. There still had been no word on Thanos.

I raise my hand, placing my hand on the side of his face. The facial hair is no longer itching my hand. Clean and smooth.

I rub my thumb back and forth under his right eye. We share no words, finding our silence comforting.

He places his hands on either side of me on the counter, leaning forward a little. I place a soft, reassuring kiss on his lips. I pull away when the counter begins to shake, a rumble vibrating the air.

Steve holds the mirror, making sure what he was seeing was real.

I look at him, eyes furrowed and confused. He looks up. I jump off the counter, rushing to the nearest exit to the outside.

Bruce, Nat and Rhodes joins us as we make our way to where a floating space ship is being placed on the ground by Carol. The ship is destroyed and dirty.

Could that really be them? Had Carol found them?

Pepper Potts is already standing near the space ship, still working on believing. I had met her a couple weeks ago when she came to the facility looking for Tony.

I really hope Peter is okay.

The hatch opens, the stairs lowering to the ground. I run up to them with Steve, extending my assistance. Only two beings limp down the stairs.

My heart breaks slightly as I hint to what it means.

I take Tony from a blue alien, helping him stand up. He looks at me wide-eyed, not believing what he is seeing. He is shocked just like the rest of us.

I nod to the blue alien, deeming her safe for now.

Steve holds Tony, taking him from me. Tony pants, getting air he didn't have much of. He looked tired. He looked dead.
