"PLEASE TELL ME you're going to appeal to my humanity." Loki walks closer to Tony and Charlie, very slowly.

"Actually, we're planning to threaten you." Tony remarks, Charlie giving Loki a thumbs up.

"You should have left your armor on for that," Loki laughs evilly.

"Yeah. It's seen a bit of mileage, and you've got the glow stick of destiny. Besides, I have this one besides me, even though I don't know if she's good at fighting or anything. Would you like a drink?"

"I don't know about Grease Lightning over there, but I would love a whiskey." Charlie leans on the bar counter, memories of her and the Winter Soldier phasing before her eyes like a slideshow.

She brushed them away. Now wasn't the time for that.

"Whiskey? Didnt take you for a whiskey kind of woman."

"Many things you don't know about me, Stark."

"Stalling me won't change anything," Loki interrupts their encounter.

"No, no. Threatening." Tony and Charlie correct, pointing a finger each at the god.

"No drink? You sure? I'm having one."

Charlie hops on the counter, sitting towards Loki. "Hey, that's expensive." Tony scolds her actions.

Charlie rolls her eyes, but doesn't move.

Loki grows annoyed with their antics, turning to stare out of the windows. "The Chitauri are coming. Nothing will change that. What have I to fear?"

"The Avengers. That's what we call ourselves. We're sort of like a team. 'Earth's mightiest heroes'-type thing."

"Yes, I've met them." Loki smiles, remembering the attack on the Helicarrier.

"Yeah. It takes us a while to get any traction, I'll give you that one. But let's do a head count, here."

"Your brother, the demigod," Charlie starts off the list.

"A super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend." Charlie doesn't comment on Tony's words, just gives a look.

"A doctor with breathtaking anger-management issues."

"A couple of mater assassins."

"And you, big fella, you've managed to piss off every single one of them." Charlie tilt her head, a fake smile on her face.

"That was the plan."

"Not a great plan," Charlie turns to Tony to confirm.

"Terrible. When they come, and they will, they'll come for you." Tony threatens, as promised.

"I have an army."

"We have a Hulk."

"I thought the beast had wandered off."

"You're missing the point. There is no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it's too much for us, but it's all on you. Because if we can't protect Earth, you can be dang well sure we'll avenge it."

"Avenge-rs. You get the name now?" Charlie moves beside Tony, getting closer to Loki.

"How will your friends have time for me when they are so busy fighting you?" Loki touched the scepter on Tony's arc reactor, causing him to flinch slightly.

Loki repeats the action. "This usually works."

"Well, performance issues, it's not uncommon. One out of five-" Loki grabs Tony by his neck, throwing him to the side.

"Jarvis, anytime now." Tony whispers impatiently.

"You will all fall before me."

Charlie marches to Loki, angry. Slamming her foot in his back, she sends him flying.

"And it isn't the opposite?"

Loki stands quickly, grabbing Tony again. "Deploy! Deploy!"

Loki throws Tony through the window. Loki gets his scepter, shooting a blast at Charlie and sending her falling behind Tony.

This is what she had been planning.

As she fell, she made sure Tony had his Iron Man suit on before sprouting her wings and letting them catch air.

Charlie flies up after making sure he's okay. "And now you've made me mad."

Loki stared shocked at her winged form, eyes wide with fear.

"And there's one other person you pissed off. His name was Phil," Tony remarks.

"Oh, that was good!" Charlie comments.

Tony shoots a blast at Loki, throwing him back.

"So, that's what she can do." Tony stares at Charlie, observing all of the little details.

"And you haven't even seen it all."
