WE DIDN'T STAY in Wakanda long. It was only two weeks after the procedure, me and the gang were back out on missions.

Bucky decided that he wanted to stay in the African country. He claims that it was calm and beautiful. His home.

I didn't fight with him after that.

My eyes open, the room dark. I am on the couch with Steve wrapped around me. I'm startled when I find eyes already staring into mine.

I lean back before I recognize it as Steve. "Hey, Blue. What are you doing up?" I question in a low volume.

The room was dark and quiet. It was still night time.

"Couldn't sleep," is his only response.

"Why not?" I question him further.

"I don't know," he lies. "Go back to bed. It's not morning yet." He grabs the back of my head, gently guiding it to his chest once again.

"No, no. If you're gonna stay up, I'm going to stay up." I argue, still keeping my voice low but stern.

Steve sighs, irritated by my stubbornness. "I had a bad dream."

"About?" I prod.

"The war."

I gulp in a breath. Yes, the Captain America, war hero, has PTSD. It was the fact he tried to hide.

"Where were you?"

"It was you, me, and Buck. We were invading a HYDRA base. There were bombs and explosions everywhere. Gunfire-" he squeezes his eyes shut.

"Okay, okay, we'll stop talking about it. Instead, we'll talk about something else. What was getting out of the ice like?"

This time, his frown turns upright. "Weird."

"Oh, I bet. All of a sudden, women don't wear skirts and curled hair. Women can have their own jobs as whatever they want. And don't get me started on the whole race thing."

Steve chuckles. "Yeah, it was really weird. But in a good way. Change." He huffs out a breath, gnawing on his bottom lip. "I just never got my dance with you before I went in the ice."
