a/n — i resorted to using grownups since ik that not all of you may have parents, and even if you do, there is the possibility of them being your adoptive or foster parents. or if you are like me and have an on/off relationship with them that you don't even want to call them your parents :')

🐷 IT'S THE STRESS OF BEING THE OLDEST OF TREASURE !!

🐷 the last straw came when you reminded him exactly a day before meeting your parents, and this man looked at you like he was hearing this for the first time in his life

🐷 "wait, what? meet your parents? tomorrow? all of a sudden? why?"

🐷 you let out a sigh, trying your best not to get mad as you took a deep breath, explaining the whole situation again until hyunsuk remembered

🐷 AND EVERYTHING WAS GOING FINE until you went to the dorms to pick him up and you were calmly informed by haruto that hyunsuk had run away

🐷 yes, run away. he had fled. to mexico. and changed his name to luis daniel gonsalves choi

🐷 not really bc you found him in the park you two usually visit, just sitting there and contemplating his life choices

🐷 when he saw you, he didn't even think of running or apologising, but straight up bombarded you with questions

🐷 "what if they don't like me? what if i do something wrong and they hate me? what if they think i'm not enough? what do i do, y/n?"

🐷 he was panicking while you were as cool as a cucumber

🐷 "if that happens then we can run away. who cares, honestly? if you like me, and i like you, and we know we want to be there for each other forever and have a family of our own ... why care about what someone else says?"

🐷 even though you had taken an odd route in comforting hyunsuk with your odd set of words, it still helped to calm him down bc he was sure of your feelings for him — and that was enough confidence for him to be in front of your grownups
