TAKATA MASHIHO

🐹 it all started with a sense of déjà vu

🐹 when he first saw you, mashiho knew he had seen you somewhere — he just couldn't put his finger on it

🐹 like you were such a familiar face and he felt like he had seen you somewhere, but he just didn't know

🐹 and after many interactions, mashi kinda forgot about it and along the line, when you two started dating, it was a forgotten thought buried deep inside

🐹 until one day, an action of yours resulted in bringing back the memory all of a sudden

🐹 mashiho knew you danced, but with the pandemic, you really didn't have the chance to perform, and thus didn't dance as much

🐹 but when a chance for a performance came, you practiced on a daily, and mashi had the opportunity of coming for one of your practices to support you

🐹 it was only you who was going to be practicing, so being the supportive boyfriend he is, mashiho cleared his schedule so you didn't have to practice alone

🐹 though he knew of the fact that you danced, he had never seen you dance before so he was quite excited, adoringly smiling as you warmed up for practice

🐹 and that was when it hit — something about the peculiar way you did your warm up caught his attention, and he was mentally transported back to his childhood when he took contemporary dance lessons

🐹 he was reminded of the little kid who came for the evening lessons after he was about to go home after his afternoon lessons — the exact little kid who he was completely infatuated by just bc of the unusual way they did their warmups

🐹 mashiho could never catch that kid's name, and always hung out after his classes just to see them dance, and it made it hard to believe that down the line, he would somehow come across his childhood crush and would be dating them

🐹 although your warming up method was too unique to be common, mashiho clarified his doubts by asking if you happened to attend the same dance lessons as a kid

🐹 "oh? how did you know? i used to go for the evening lessons. i think my passion for dancing came from that teacher."

🐹 mashiho simply looked at you with heart-eyes, a slight smile on his face as you rambled on about how inspirational the dance mentor was — and he couldn't deny bc he felt the same

🐹 definitely wouldn't tell you about him seeing you and crushing on you for the longest time as a kid — but would keep it in mind to tell you about it someday (maybe when y'all get married)

🐹 it'll just be his little secret

🐹 "i like dancing with you like this. it makes me happy. we should do this more often!"

🦁 he didn't really think much when you didn't answer the door, knowing how you sometimes got too preoccupied with things to notice your surroundings

🦁 just you cleaning around the house as you used your multipurpose broom; aka the broom you use to sweep, to use as a makeshift guitar, to croon your ballads to, to get into fake sword fights — the list was endless
