[HAPPIEST BORNDAY TO YOU, KWANGBAEEE MWAH!]

[with her, it's better]

If there was anything Hyewon knew about Kwon Eunbi, it was the determination in her eyes, her hardened look, and the certainty and grace in her every movement.

When she was younger, Hyewon always was the one watching everyone else from a distance, standing afar until the rest of her peers' silhouettes had disappeared somewhere far off she could never hope to reach.

She thought it might be different soon. And now, and it was. She was the one watching from behind, but not forgotten- more like a presence.

But with Eunbi, something was always different. She didn't need to watch over her, but rather, she was always reassured by her presence.

It was something Hyewon didn't think she would ever be able to get enough of.

Once, Hyewon went to see Eunbi during morning practice, practice the other members didn't bother to spend their mornings at. The older didn't know about her stopping by, of course, but that was beside the point.

It sounded creepy now that she thought about it, but it wasn't at the time when she did.

She would be heading back to the dorms after buying herself some Starbucks down the street, and she would so happen to pass the practice room. She wouldn't call the sight entrancing, exactly, but it was definitely something close, at least in Hyewon's book.

Kwon Eunbi was beautiful. All of IZ*ONE are, really, in their own way, and even someone as Hyewon couldn't help but marvel at each of their separate quirks.

But was hard to mistake Eunbi's presence. From the way she stood, to her subtle movements. Her eyes held a sort of raging calm, like the dark sea after a storm, heavy with the weight of its strengths and sorrows. There was a certain grace to her that many people would envy to have exactly as easily as Kwon Eunbi honed.

Eunbi was more than the others took her for. She was present in each word and movement, each quiet moment. She was the brightness in a room, something Hyewon couldn't help but be attracted to.

It was strange, but it felt right.

Because it was Eunbi after all, and if it was her, Hyewon was sure she couldn't be wrong.

That was the first time Hyewon had ever felt something like that.
