Claire had a hard time falling asleep, while Lando, slept like a child. The exhaustion of staying awake had kicked in for him, but that wasn't the case for Claire.

He woke up ready to take on the world while Claire was exhausted, he wanted to go sightseeing but seeing how tired she was he abandoned the idea. They spent two days with minimal activities, just lying around and eating room service.

Lando had to get to the track on Thursday for his media commitments and a track walk. He spent pretty much his whole day at the track, Claire had no recollection of when he came back to their room.

It was Friday, she was feeling much better but didn't want to go to the paddock, dressing up felt exhausting.

The first practice went by well, Lando was able to push the car and adapt his driving style to the track. He looked at his watch, he had thirty minutes before the second practice.

He walked towards Andreas, who was talking to the engineers on the pit wall. He approached him hesitantly and stood behind him.

"Andreas, can I leave as soon as the practice is over?"

"I don't think so Lando, Charlotte was talking about sponsors and their demands."

"I'm going to meet Claire's parents for the first time." He announced.

"Oh! That's quite a big step, make sure you form a good impression." One of the engineers spoke up.

"There's my star!" Lando heard Zak exclaim before flinging his arm around him.

"Zak! Will you please let me leave early? I'm going to meet her parents!" He asked. Zak had been more like family than his boss, and he knew that Zak shared the same sentiment.

"Yes of course! Be on your best behaviour and dress sharp." Zak addressed him in a very fatherly way. "But for now suit up! You have a car waiting to be driven."

Once the visor was down, nothing else mattered. One again, he extracted as much of the car as he could while testing out moves on the track. As soon as he was allowed to hop out of the car, he was gone.

He rushed to the hotel, thinking of all the clothes he brought and what he could put together that would impress her.

"Back so soon?" Claire looked at his reflection in the mirror as she combed her hair.

"Left as soon as I could, I'll be out in a few!" He blew a kiss at her before heading to the shower. He was still breathing panting, his body was still processing the exhaustion of driving the car.

He headed back into the room, wearing a just a towel to see how she would react. He took his sweet time opening the suitcase, pulling clothes out.

"I enjoy the display but please dress up already!"

"I have received the attention I want- ooh you're wearing blue!" He walked towards her. "Let me get my blue hoodie." He reached for the hoodie behind her, giving his midriff a chance to be right in her face.

"Lando, we won't be able to leave this room if you don't get dressed already." She smirked.

"Is that so?" He smirked putting on the hoodie.

"Stop distracting me! Okay, so this is what I've thought of," she continued, "It's Friday, they're going to come home exhausted, maybe if we take dinner with us-"

"It'll be brownie points! I'm on it, you don't have to worry about a thing." He smiled at her pulling his phone out.

After asking everyone he knew, he made a call to the best Italian restaurant in town. A while of coaxing and convincing the head chef, Lando had managed to get them to make dinner for them on such short notice.
