Mexico was done and dusted, Lando now had a better grip on the third position in the driver's standings and that ensured McLaren's hold on their spot in the constructor's championship too.
Texas wasn't as warm as they were expecting, the cold wind hit him as he walked along the track. It made him shiver, which his group noticed and poked fun at him about.
"Why didn't you warn me! It's cold!"
"I told you about eight times Lando, a hoodie isn't going to cut it, put on a puffy jacket." Jon sighed.
Lando rolled his eyes and continued walking, hands stuffed inside the pockets of his pants, anything to keep himself warm.

"What are you up to Claire?" Sonya asked.
"Figuring out a study schedule, it's planned around hours Ophelia needs me most..."
"And I'm guessing that's all 24 hours of your day?" Sonya chimed in.
"Yeah, that's what it looks like." She sighed, "but at least I have Emma who is literally Mary Poppins." She smiled at Emma who was playing with Ophelia.
"Can we please talk to Emma to thank her? I don't remember the last time we got to talk to you hear without hearing a baby cry in the background." Nicole laughed.
"Emma, your fan club is fawning over you right now!"
She laughed and thanked them before diverting her attention back to the baby, who was now slowly drifting to sleep.
"So what have you been up to?" Claire asked them.
"Oh the usual, school, party and then more party." Alia said.
"Before you worry, we've been studying! We even have dining table revision sessions." Sonya added.
"Dining table revision sessions, I miss them so so much!"
"We miss having you around." Nicole admitted.
"I often think about it, life's so strange no? If you told me a year ago I was going to have a baby and move in with someone I would have laughed in your faces."
"And yet here you are, a serial flirt. Now mother to a child and very much in love with someone."
"I don't mean to offend you," Sonya spoke up, "but, is this what you want with life? Are you happy?"
The question surprised Claire, she couldn't remember the last time someone asked her about how she felt, genuinely without the sugarcoating.
"Honestly, I'm not mad." She said thoughtfully, "we have our good days and then we have our awful days, but it's fine. I often miss the girl I used to be, I try to keep a part of her alive."
