"You're back! Finally!" Claire beamed wrapping her hands around Lando.

"I've missed you too." He smiled kissing her forehead.

The pair walked into the house, Claire beaming from ear to ear, happy to finally see him again. He looked exhausted, but content. It had been a good weekend, the McLarens had finished in points and were looking to get only get stronger.

"What's Ophelia up to?" He asked setting his bags down.

"I put her down for a nap, she's sleeping like all the time and yet I feel like she needs my attention all the time." She laughed.

"How are you planning to juggle school?"

"I don't know, I really don't know." She sighed.

"Maybe we could get a nanny to look after her-"

"It's too soon!"

"I'm not saying right this instant silly! When you're comfortable." He smiled, "I'm going to go look at her." He stood up heading to her nursery.

Every time he saw his little girl, he couldn't help but wonder what her tiny brain was thinking. Even while she was asleep, she had a smile or an expression of deep thought on her face.

"Don't even think about giving her a kiss on the cheek." Claire whispered from behind him.

"Jeez! You scared me!" He turned around.

"Go freshen up, relax and try not to wake her up."

"Yes ma'am, is there anything else I should add to the agenda?" He joked.

"Grocery store run, I ate all your granola bars," she smiled awkwardly, "I'm so sorry!"

"I knew I couldn't leave you unsupervised around them." He sighed in a playful disappointment.

The days flew by, it was time for him to get to Singapore again, he tried his best to be helpful but every time Ophelia would stray crying, it freaked him out.

He would just place her in Claire's arms, "She's wailing!" He would look just as frightened as the baby was. Claire felt helpless, it was frustrating but she couldn't blame him. She didn't want to yell and fight about it either.

The time differences worried Claire, how would they communicate? There was bound to be a delay, but he told her that it was a blessing in disguise, because he would be awake when she would be awake in the middle of the night trying to soothe Ophelia.

It was one of those nights, Ophelia refused to sleep after being fed. She just wanted to be held and would fuss if she was set down.

She looked at the time and guessed that he would be finishing up with breakfast so she decided to called him up, he didn't pick up. Even if it wasn't something major, Claire still felt a little hurt. She tried to call him up again, he still didn't answer.

"Okay Little Worm, your mummy might cry now." She looked at Ophelia, who just batted her eyes.

Just when she felt like she was going to break, her phone rang. It wasn't the name she was hopping to pop up, but the name did bring her comfort.

"Hello my baby! How are you doing?"

"Hi mom. I'm honestly... I don't even know."

"What's wrong?"

"I just, I feel so alone. Like since the beginning, I always feared this and it's all coming alive." She stuttered.

"What's coming alive honey?"

"He's trying his best, but it's not helpful. At all!"

"Go on, tell me."

"He was home for a few days, and while he did spend time with her, every time there was a mess to clean or she cried he just handed her to me and he said that I could call him up whenever and we would talk but I called him twice and he aired me."

"Something might have come up? Cut him some slack-"

"How much slack!?"

"Honey, I understand what you're feeling. You've got to tell him! Put your foot down and tell him that he has to take care of her too."

"I know that in an ideal world we should be sharing responsibility but with his career it's impossible. That's what makes me sadder."

"You should talk to him about it, you're in a very vulnerable place right now and you need to be taken care of. Oh I wish I could give both my babies kisses right now!"

"I really wish I could just curl up, hug you and cry right now. And you would bake me some cookies and then I'd feel all good."

"Claire, I love you very very much! And I want you to remember that if it's ever getting too much for you to bear all by yourself, you can always come home."

"I love you too mom, and I'll always remember that. I feel like I'm just going through a rough patch right now, I'll be better soon."

"You've always been really strong, there's no doubt about it. But sometimes it can be a lot, so you should let your loved ones look after you."

"Well I can't do that right now because I have a tiny life depending on me."

"You'll wear yourself out if you think like that, of course you love your baby but you need a break from her sometimes. It's the most demanding job on this planet."

"It is." She sighed looking down at Ophelia, who was slowly drifting to sleep, "I'll call you later mom, bye bye."

"Bye honey, take care!" She ended the call.

Lando: sorryyyyyyyy! Work duties 😬
