Chapter 31 a dark place

Denny's P.O.V.

Denny was walking beside Jennifer supporting her as her leg was broken, while Anthony helped her on her other side. The more they moved the more the vaporeon was geting anxious about the shiny glaceon. He could smell the illness comeing off of her. (She's sick... that can't be good.) he glanced at Ava who was to busy talking with Felix then he felted annoyed (why dose she have to do this?... trying to make me jealous and Jennifer might be dying!)
"Hey Ava?" He called, her ear twiched and she slowly turnd her head back to look at him "what is it now?" Denny gritted his teeth together. "can you please take another look at her.. she's sick." Jennifer looked at him "Denny... theres nothing she can do for me... no plants or herbs.. nothing.." alarm shot through him. (was that defeat in her vioce?)
Ava looked worried "look Denny.... As much as i really wanna help she's right... in order to help her we need to get out of this tunnle."
Anthony now got mad "WHAT?!" Then he pinnd his ears back giveing a hateful glare at Felix "GERRR THIS IS HIS FAULT!"
"ANTHONY!" Ava snaped "how dare you point paws at him he's just trying to hel-"
"NO! We should have just listend to Denny! He was right! We never should have come down here." Ava hissed "that tornado would have gotten us!"
"Yea but we could have left after it passed by! We almost all got burried alive just like my dad predicted." Denny couldn't help but grow a big smirk on his face as he gave them the i told you so look. Ava glared at him "really? your just ganna let your son talk to me like that?" Then Kyle steped in. "well he's right! Felix lied to us! He said he knew these tunnles very well."
"I do!"
"Oh really then?... ok so how much longer?"
Felix's ears went down "..well it's been a long time since i was... err down here."
"Yea just what i thought you don't know." The shiny lycanroc scoffed. Ava let out an angry snort then turnd her back on them.
"Whoa whats her problem?" He asked then Denny leand close then spoke in a very low vioce not wanting his mate to over hear him. "She can't handle loseing an argument.."
Jennifer let out a little cough. "y..you should go talk to her."
"I'll give her time to cool off frist.."
Ryker looked upset "guys... look i know comeing down here was a mistake... but i don't think it's fiar to bully Felix over it... whats don is don all we can do is move forward.."
Denny gave him a look. "some of us can't Ryker..." then he turnd his head towards the shiny glaceon who was now fully putting her weight on him. "We... we just need to have faith then.. it's all we got and we can't just give up hope." Then he noticed how upset Anthony was looking and felted his stomach clench.
(We can't lose her... thats ganna break him..)
Then he looked back at Ava who still had Ella with her the little eevee was rideing on her back laughing. (That kid will be an orphan if she dies..) then he risked another glance at her. She did not look well he closed his eyes for a bit fighting his feelings as panic settled in a bit. (I... i don't know what to do.... What can i do?)
Jennifer seemed to be drifting off to sleep then he nudged her in the side. "hey.. no sleeping ok?" She looked at him "...i...im tired.." he moved his mouth close to her ear then wispeard "if you sleep now you might not wake up.... Ever..." Alarm shot through her blue eyes then she struggled a bit Denny splashed her in the face with water gun. "Did that help?" She nodded "yea..." she let out a deep sigh "hey don't worry.. we are ganna get out and once we do you'll get all the help you need." He said hopeing that his words were true. (She needs to have hope... i can't let her give up.)
She nodded then weakly looked at him "don't worry about me... just focus on geting out ok?"
Denny frownd "yes and we will... all of us."
Kyle moved towards them "Denny put her on my back i'll carry her.." he felted a bit uneasy "no... i want to carry her... put her on my back."
"Are you sure about that?... im a bit bigger then you are." Denny nodded (im not takeing my eyes off her... she might fall alseep and i refuse to let her die.)
"No Denny... let Kyle carry me.. i'll be fine.."
He paused to look at her. "You promise?..." she diped her head then let out a small laugh "yes im not going to fall alseep..."
"Jen... this is serious you know..."
"I know... im going to be ok stop worrying"
(I can't through..) he thought to himself as Anthony helped her onto the shiny lycanrocs back. As they kepted walking Ryker let out a tired yawn. "Hey Denny?..." he turnd to look at the shiny vaporeon "yes Ryker?.."
"Are you still ganna tell us about Ruth?" He nodded "oh yea that.. of course... just wait till we get out frist.." then suddenly he bumped into his son pushing him into Ava.
"Hey watch it!" Anthony snaped looking mad "well for crying out loud! Why are we stoped?."
Felix looked embarrassed "hehe another spilt tunnle..." now Denny was stressed out.
"Ok.. so you don't know then?" He questioned the flareon. Kyle let out a snort "of course he dosn't."
Anthony let out a long sigh Denny knew the shiny umbreon was just as eager to get out as he was. Ava pinnd her ears back "oh... anyone wanna choose?" Anthony sat with a loud sigh "well my mom's life is at stake here." Ava looked worried "Felix... you should know the way shouldn't you?" Suddenly the flareon broke. "ok.. ok Denny was right! I don't know where im going!" Everyone gasped in shock at that. "WHAT?!" Now the leafeon looked mad herself "are you kidding me! Felix why would you lie to us like this?!" The flareon broke into tears. "im so sorry! I just wanted to help i really did..." Jennifer now looked scared "you mean.. we're stuck underground clueless if theres even a way out?"Ava frownd looking at Denny and he could see the look of defeat in her eyes. "So we finally admit that i was right?" Ava muttered "..i guss.." Denny couldn't help but smirk at her moveing closer "couldn't hear you babe..." Ava blushed a bit "Denny drop it will you?"
"No.. i wanna hear you say that i was right.." she hissed "oh screw off will you!" He placed his paw under her chin turning her face towards him looking her in the eyes. "Come on Ava... don't be mad at me... i was just worried about Jennifer because she's sick i wasn't flirting with her..." then suddenly the leafeon hugged him and sobbed a bit "..Denny... i.. im sorry... im so sorry i shouldn't have gottion mad at you... we're stuck underground and now Jennifer is dying..." he lighty stroked her back. "there, there Ava we'll get out somehow..." Then he pulled away trying not to lose his temper as he glared at the flareon.
"Really?... why did you lie fluffy? What is this a death trap?" The flareon looked down at his paws in shame. "ok fine... i lied... because i just wanted to travel with you guys... and you kepted trying to push me away"
"Wait but if you lied then how did you know about this place?" Anthony asked and the flareon just shruged his shoulders "well this passage way has always been here... no mon knows why or were it leads.." Denny growled "so this is not a shortcut towards the mountains then?!"
"Denny... i know your mad but please don't yell.." Ava pleaded. He looked back towards Jennifer then let out a long sigh "ok so we need to choose one way..." Kyle put the shiny glaceon down and let out a tired yawn "look.. i think it might be best if we rest for a bit." Denny panicked a bit. "but Jennifer can't sleep! She might not wake up if she dose!"
Now Anthony looked scared.
"Hmm i'll be the judge of that.." Ava said then looked at the shiny glaceon.
"You know.. i think she needs to rest i agree with Kyle we'll all sleep then make a decision when we wake up since we don't know what time of day it is."
Denny watched as everyone got comfortable then he muttered "oh great gatta sleep in the drit... not ganna be very cozy then Ava cuddled up close to him and he pulled her closer to him trying to get more comfy.
Jennifer was laying beside Ella, Kyle and Felix.
Then his gaze went onto his son who settled down beside Ryker. Ava nuged him "come on Denny you need to rest.."
"I...i can't... im scared for Jennifer.." he said then she layed her head on him. "i know.. im just as scared as you are.. but we need to rest if we're ganna get out of this mess..."
He finelly closed his eyes trying to sleep.
