I always wondered what you were so afraid of.

We were too young to have any burdens weighing us down─or at least we were supposed to. But you always seemed so stressed out, and on the verge of tears whenever I approached you.

It pained me to watch.

Especially when you needed comforting, but you never had the courage to reach out and ask for help.

I was always there for you, Chan.

I just wish you had realized that...

Do you remember when we used to sit underneath that massive willow tree on the school field every lunchtime?

And I always used to get you a carton of strawberry milk from the cafeteria, because it helped you calm down your nerves without you actually having to talk about anything.

I had always encouraged you to open up to me, but you always insisted on bottling everything up because you didn't want to burden me with your problems.

That always made me a little upset, but I knew that it was just how you were at the time.

You've changed so much since then.

I'm so proud of you, love.

And, I know our lives have only just started─we have so much more to come─but as long as I have you by my side, I know that I won't be afraid of anything.
