Jon's POV:

This is super weird. Ash had said she was going to buy another drink, but I haven't seen her around at all. I sure hope she's okay.

I was minding my own business, looking on my phone. Scrolling through the pictures that were on my camera roll. One picture in particular caught my eye and attention. It was a picture of me and Ash when we first met. Before I got with Anna, before she got with Hardy. We both were happy and everything else until love, relationships, and infidelity happened.

I sighed and tapped off of the picture and then found a video from the Luke Bryan and Cole Swindell tour. Sunset Repeat Tour to be exact. It was one of my favorite videos we had from that tour. Simpler times back then, as well.

I got my Airpods out of their white case and popped them into my ears and started watching the video on a low volume just so I could focus on other things that were going on around me.

I heard a really loud and high pitched scream. Almost similar to the ones you'd hear in horror movies. It definitely scared the piss out of me, and I didn't even have to go.

I snatched the earbuds out of my ears and slid them back in the case, shoved both the case and my phone in my back pockets and rushed over to wherever the screaming was coming from. I pushed and shoved through a couple of people, but I needed to see who was in danger.

It was none other than my best friend, obviously. Once I got to see what in the hell was happening, I noticed that it was Hardy that was holding her captive. He really is testing me to my limit and he knows it! He really fucking does!

"Hey, buddy. What in the fuck is this? I've been biting my tongue this whole time, but this time it isn't goin' to happen. You've hurt my best friend over and over again and it fucking sucks seeing her in that shape all because of your dumbass and even more dumb ass decisions. I hope you know how bad you fucked up. Ashland and I go way, way back. I know her better than you ever could, can, or whatever. So run along and be a dick somewhere else. Because it sure as hell isn't welcomed here by me or anyone for that matter. You get out, and you don't get hurt. Do you understand me? Because we will take this outside if you aren't careful," I popped off on him.

His face was priceless. I couldn't even help but smirk. Thank heavens though, I was able to hold in all my laughs. His grip on Ash's arm was then loosened and dropped and he had the look of defeat plastered on his face.

Hardy groaned and pushed all of the crowd that was surrounding him and Ash, including me. He looked me dead in the eyes and said, "This won't be the last you'll see of me, just so y'all know!"

Ashland ran straight to me and she clung onto my shoulders, her legs wrapping around my waist. I kissed her forehead and held her tightly, "Ash, baby girl, are you okay? Did he hurt you?" I asked as I quickly rushed out of the door and onto the now non-busy sidewalk on Broadway.

"N-no, he didn't. Can we go to your place?" She asked, tears pooling rapidly in her eyes.

"Shh, shh, everything's okay. Yes, let's call a cab. You stay close to me while I do so, okay?" I breathed as she clung onto my right arm and I was dialing up a taxi cab to pick the both of us up.
