Ashland's POV:

"Wedding planning is so hard! I wish I knew what venue to choose at such short notice," I sighed, scrolling through different wedding venues in the Nashville area.

Currently, the twins were napping which gave me and Jon time to plan out our wedding details. We picked out colors- that's literally all we did. The color scheme we both decided on was powder blue and peach. Since we're wanting a really small and intimate wedding ceremony, we aren't going to be having bridesmaids or groomsmen. We will have guests though!

We're inviting my mother and two brothers, Jon's parents and his two brothers, and a few of our close friends. Of course, nothing too crazy or exciting, but it's going to be lovely to have our family and friends to watch us tie the knot. It's really bittersweet thinking about how far both Jon and I have come. We started out as strangers, then acquaintances, then close friends. Our friendship blossomed into a beautiful love story and I'm so beyond blessed that we've gotten this far in our lives.

The only thing I'm really not looking forward to regarding our wedding is the fact that my dad won't be giving me away. Sadly, God took my father away before he could meet the twins or see me get married. Even though it's sad and quite heartbreaking, Jon did suggest that his dad could walk me down the aisle, but that'd be something we could talk about at a later time.

It'd be kind of cute though considering the Langston's never had a daughter therefore they never got the opportunity to give a bride away down the aisle. I'll try to see if I can plan a brunch for me and Jon's dad so we can talk over different details as far as that little thing goes.

Also, we got the wedding invitations made and they are beyond adorable! Before the end of the day, I'll be sure to send these off and mail them to our guests. I for one am super excited, but really nervous... I've never been the type to see myself settling down, getting married, or having kids. Though the kids part was the most unexpected to happen this year, I'm super glad it did, honestly.

"Babe, what about this venue?! I just found it while on Google. We can book it since it's small and can accommodate our guest amount," Jon mentioned, soon showing me the venue he found on his phone.

The venue he found was this place here in Nashville called The Cordelle and honestly? It looked really, really nice! Breathtakingly stunning if I had to be a little dramatic. To think that we can go ahead and book the venue has me and my heart in shambles! Getting married to my best friend is becoming more and more real as the days go by.

"Oh my gosh! It's gorgeous, handsome. Tell me what all we need to do is far as booking the place; I'll help out in any way I can," I responded excitedly.

"Alrighty, I'll give them a call to book it; after that, I'll let you know if this venue is a no-go or not!" Jon replied in excitement as well.

I had awoken to my alarm going off and my soon-to-be husband wasn't in the bed anymore. That man is probably either taking care of the twins or making breakfast- or possibly both. He is a superman when it comes to multitasking- I'm so grateful that he's my fiancé!

I know what today is and Lord, I am super nervous! I'm going to be having brunch with Jon's dad and it's really nerve-racking because what if he says no? What if he thinks I'm crazy for asking an in-law to walk me down the aisle? Surely he wouldn't be judgmental, right?
