Elphaba's pov)

Dear Diary,

I find it very interesting that I am not as nervous over getting married as Glinda is, but then again, it may just be that I won't be nervous until the day of, and if so, that is quite alright by me! Glinda is nervous and jittery enough, we don't need me to add to it. It's a week before the wedding, and she is in a complete tizzy, and driving everyone insane, including me!  That says a lot since I am insane as it is, and no I don't mean mentally! I am insane over a certain, very perky blonde, and the love of my life, my sweet, my Glinda.

Glinda races around here checking everything and rechecking everything! She has changed her mind at least a dozen times in the past two days about the cake. Yes we are having a cake despite just family, staff, and a couple very close trusted friends attending, and I am afraid if she mentions one more change to the cake Cook is going to chase her down with her wooden spoon!

I too find myself growing a tad short with her. Three times yesterday alone she cornered me to rattle off a list of things we still need to check on, and one included the menu for the reception. Glinda has been trying to get me to change what I would like served. She believes my vegan menu is too simple for such an elaborate affair as a wedding, but she seems to forget that I prefer simple dishes, and I will more than likely be the only person ratting completely vegan.

Another thing she keeps changing is where in the garden she wants us to say our vows. Glinda originally wanted it near the waterfall, and then worried I might get splashed, so she changed her mind to beside the fountain. Again, she felt that to be too risky. When I questioned her about that she said I might faint and end up in the fountain. I informed her that there was a very, very, and I mean very miniscule chance of that happening. Her parents agreed with me, but Glinda would hear none of it! Highmuster, Lerena and I finally convinced her that instead of having the wedding in the open of the garden we can say our vows in the gazebo. At first Glinda objected to that since she said it wouldn't be pretty enough, and when she wouldn't stop babbling and crying about having to use the gazebo I just kissed her. That shut her up thankfully since by then my head was throbbing from her constant prattle. I made her look at me, gave her a smile after, and then I told her, no, reassured her that she need not worry about how the gazebo would be for our wedding because I would handle the decorations for the garden and gazebo.

I pause in my writing when I hear my beautiful, Glinda calling my name. Lifting my eyes I squint in the direction I can hear her coming from, and quickly snap my diary closed. "Shit!" I hiss, quickly rising from my chair, and rushing to the door at the opposite end of the room where Glinda will enter. I barely manage to get out of the room when Glinda enters it.

Rushing quickly and quietly I make a break for Highmuster's study, and without thinking first or knocking I hurry in. I freeze and stare wide eyed between Hightmuster, and one of his business partners.
