(Glinda's POV)

Elphie and I spend many hours the next few weeks working in the garden. I got my beautiful roses to bloom bigger than ever, and I was surprised that even Elphie planted some flowers. Surprised until I found out she had planted poppies. I should have remembered they were her, favorites, after all she had whole field of poppies before. She did assure me unlike the other poppies these ones were harmless.

It was mid afternoon, and we were in the garden as usual. I was sitting on Elphie's lap her arms around my waist as we lazily rocked on the swing. “Elphie?”

“Hmm?” She replied quietly. “Are… are you happy here?” The swing stops moving and Elphie shifts me so I am sitting sideways on her lap. “Of course I'm happy here! Why wouldn't I be?” She looks at me questioningly. “Well, it's… it's just that...that you can't leave. I mean, you can walk in the woods, come here to the garden, and stay in the cabin. To me it would be almost like… like prison.”

“Glinda, honey,” Elphie says taking my hand in hers, “I don't mind the limited range of freedom.” She smiles at me, stands holding me bridal style, and begins heading towards the gazebo. “I have more freedom here than I ever would have had I remained in Kiamo Ko after faking my death. You see, if I were still there I would have to remain inside there, and I would have had to stay in the tunnels under the castle.” As we get into the gazebo she sets me down. “So you see, my sweet, I have nothing to complain about being 'confined’ to the gardens, woods, and cabin. Honestly, as long as I can be with you I have everything I could ever want or need.”

I smile at her. “I glad you are happy here.”

“Me too.” She whispers and leans towards me. I lean towards her as well and smile as our lips meet.

(Elphie's POV)

Our lips connect and I can't help but smile as a warmth seems to rush over me. Her lips taste like strawberries and she smells of roses and sunshine. I can feel her smile against mine, and we deepen our kiss.

“Glinda?” I whisper pulling back gasping for air pressing my forehead gently against hers. “Yes Elphie?” She whispers panting lightly as she takes my hand. “Glinda, my sweet, I do believe that… that I… I love you.” She grins. “I love you too, Elphie.” She says just before pressing her lips against mine again.

As the kiss deepens we hear the sound of rain patterning on the glass of the gazebo, and Glinda pulls out of the kiss looking worriedly. “It's beginning to rain!”

“I know. Why do you think I moved us into here?” I smile and she looks at me oddly. “You knew it was going to rain?” I nod. “Then why didn't we go back to the cabin?”

“Because we wouldn't have gotten there before the rain picked up, and I am not ready to go back yet.” I smile. Glinda shakes her head a little. “But we are stuck here until it stops raining.”

“Is that so bad?” I ask busying myself kissing her neck, and she squirms a little trying to pull aways, but I move with her.

“El-Elphie!” She stammered breathlessly. “What are you doing?” I grin, my lips still pressed against her neck and cackle softly. “I'm enjoying a rainy afternoon my sweet.” She moans quietly as I nip her neck and the begin to kiss her again.

It isn't long before we are completely engrossed ignoring the rain that is now pouring down. I can feel her pulse as I kiss her neck again. I wince slightly from pain, but mostly from the overwhelming amount of emotions that wash over me as she too begins to kiss and lick my neck. We break away from our kissing just long enough to get air and make eye contact. I can see it in her eyes, and I know she desires the same thing I want. Without words we frantically kiss each other again.

I feel an urgency as Glinda as shifts so she is straddling my lap. She pulls me into a kiss as she desperately tries to undo my top. Meanwhile I am running my hands over her hips and slide my hand up her skirt. “Oooooh! Elphieee!” She moans and I grin wickedly.

“GALINDA ARDUENNA UPLAND!” A voice booms and we quickly break away. Both of us stare speechless at the enormous man standing in the doorway. It's Glinda's father, and I go pale. “What is the meaning of this?”

“I-it's n-not-” Glinda begins to stammer. He growls stepping into the gazebo and grabbing Glinda's arm hard and she yelps in pain. “It's not what Glinda? Not what it seems? Because to me it looked an  awful lot like you were making out with her!” He states giving  me a disgusted look. “Ow! P-Popcicle please, you're hurting me!” Glinda whimpers.

“Let her go!” I growl moving towards them. He round on me looking more angry than I had ever seen him. “You!” He yells hitting me hard across the cheek causing me still stumble back a few steps. “Stay away from my daughter, Witch! I will not allow her to ruin her good name by being associated with the likes of you! I have tolerated having you stay here, but I will not have you defiling my daughter!”

“Father! Please!” Glinda begs trying to struggle free from his grasp, and I know she is angry with him because she always call him popsicle. “Silence Glinda! You are coming with me now!” He yanks her forcefully out of the gazebo into the rain with him.

“What about Elphie? She won't be able to leave because of the rain!” Glinda struggles to try and get loose from her father's grip. He pauses and glares at me. “I don't give an Oz damn about her.” He continues on literally dragging Glinda along.

I stand there stunned, angry and feeling helpless, and very alone. I watch as he drags Glinda away, and I can't do a thing to stop him. Feeling defeated I sink down on one of the benches and hug my knees as wait for the rain to stop.
