(Glinda's POV)

Did last night really happen? It had to have been a dream, and a lovely one at that! I dreamed my dear, sweet Elphie asked me to marry her, and that I said yes! Stretching a little I smile at the memory as I open my eyes.

“Good morning my sweet.” A voice beside me whispers and I start for a moment before I smile realizing it was Elphie.

“Good morning, Elphie.” I reply turning on my side to face her. “I had the most wonderful dream last night.”

“Really? Do tell me, please.” She says settling herself to listen to me.

“I dreamed I was at the Masquerade dancing when suddenly you showed up, but I didn't know that you were you because you were disguised as a boy.” I giggle and she smiles not saying a word, and so I go on. “I dreamed we danced for a bit, and then went and walk around in the gardens until you lead me to my garden. I was surprised that you knew about my garden, because remember dear, I didn't know you were you. Anyways once there you finally spoke, you told me how much you loved me, and that you have loved for many years, since school. After that you asked me to marry you, and I said yes!” I grin at her, and she smiles back. “Isn't it the most wonderful dream to have had?”

(Elphaba's POV)

I listen to Glinda recall the previous night and just smile. She's so damn cute! When finishes telling me about her ‘dream’ I chuckle quietly and lean over kissing her. “It sounds lovely, but I must inform you that you weren't dreaming.”

She looks confused. “I wasn't? What do you mean?”

“I mean, my sweet, that none of that was a dream.” Smiling at her I take her left hand in mind and bring it up towards face. Her eyes go wide and she breaks into a grin when she sees the engagement ring in her hand.

“I thought that it was all a dream. That it was too good to be true!” She says as I see tears of joy well up in her eyes, and the next thing I know she is on top of me practically smothering me in a hug. “Oh Elphie!” She says over and over just hugging me tightly and kissing me.

After a few minutes I manage to get her to release her hug on me. “As much as I love you, Glinda, we need to get up.”

“Why?” She pouts sitting up as I get up. I look at her amused. “Glinda, my sweet, I do believe that your parents should know that we are engaged, don't you think?”

“Of course!” She says getting up quickly. “We shall hurry so that we can join them for breakfast, and tell them our splendiferous news! Come along, dearest, and I will find you the perfect outfit for today.”

“Oh joy!” I say sarcastically, but she doesn't hear me as she heads over to my room, and before I know it we are dressed and on our way to the main house.”

(Highmuster's POV)

Lerena and I had just sat down for breakfast when Glinda and Elphaba enter the dining room. “Good morning ladies!” I say to them with a smile.

“Good morning Popsicle! Momsie!” Glinda says practically dancing over to kiss first my cheek then her mother's.

“Well, somebody is in a good mood.” Lerena says laughing. “Good morning darling. Good morning Elphaba.” She says smiling over at her.

“Good morning Lerena and Highmuster.” Elphaba says giving us a quick nod off her head before taking her seat.

“So what do you all have planned for-” I go to ask the girls, and when I notice Glinda looks about ready to burst. “Glinda, what is going on? You look as if you are ready to burst.”

“Oh I am!” She says excitedly, and grabs Elphaba's

hand as she also thrusts her left hand out towards her mother and I. “Popsicle. Momsie. Elphaba asked me to marry her, and I said yes!”

Both women squeal excitedly, and Elphaba shudders under the shriek of joy from them. I smile at her, and she returns the smile. “Congratulations, you two!” I tell them.

“Thank you.” Elphaba says, and it doesn't surprise me one bit that Glinda didn't respond as she was chatting excitedly to her mother.

“Elphaba, dear, did you ask Glinda after the Masquerade?” Lerena asks, and we look over at her and Glinda.

“Um, no. I asked her during the Masquerade.” She response, and I hear her cackles quietly as Lerena looks confused. “You see, I attended, though I did arrive late.”

“I am not sure I understand. I am sure I would remember you attending.” Lerena says and before Elphaba can respond Glinda pipes up. “Momsie, she was the silent mystery guest that Popsicle introduced us to.”

“Highmuster, did you know that he was her, er I mean, she was the one in costume?” She asks him, and he nods. “Of course, I did. After all I was the one that permitted Elphaba to ask, and I also, with the help fr Jake, helped her obtain her outfit.”

“It would have been nice to know, but I guess it doesn't matter.” Lerena grins at me then the girls. She gets up and first hugs Glinda and then Elphaba. “I'm so happy for you two, and Elphaba it will be an honor to be able to call you my daughter.”

“Thank you, and I will be happy to have a family again.” Elphaba says giving us each a smile. “Now can we please have breakfast? I am rather hungry.”

“Of course! Of course!” I say laughing, and we all take our seats.
