(Glinda's POV)
I am so nervous as I wait to find out what Popsicle has to say about Elphie and I. They have been gone for awhile, and the way he drug her out of house makes me very anxious. "What is he saying to her?"
"I am not sure Glinda. All we can do is wait." Momsie says taking me in a hug. I lean against Momsie and sigh. "Popsicle will never let Elphie stay. He only sees her as wicked, but she isn't, and... and..." I begin to cry. "Oh, Glinda. Even if he says no my dear, I will find a way for you two to be together." She whispers to me as she rubs my back.
"Glinda!" I hear my name and turn only get grabbed up in a hug by Elphie. Before I can react she spins me around, sets me down, and kisses me. I pull out of the kiss. I don't want to get my hopes up, but when I do meet her gaze I break into a grin. "Did Popsicle really say yes?" Elphie grins and nods. "Yes, my sweet. He said we can be together." I am so happy I squeal and about knock her over this time hugging her, and I start kissing her.
Momsie clears her throat. "Excuse me ladies, but if you are going to do that sort of thing may I suggest you take that sort of behavior elsewhere?" Elphie and I stop kissing and look towards her rather embarrassed as Popsicle walks up and puts his arm around her. "Sorry, Momsie. Come along Elphie." I say taking Elphie's hand and quickly lead her down the hall towards my room.
(Highmuster's POV)
I walk into house and smile when I see Glinda and Elphaba, and then chuckle at their reaction to what Lerena says. As the two of them disappear down the hall I look down at Lerena and kiss her. "Thank you my dear."
"For what?" She asks looking at me questioningly. "For opening my eyes to how much Glinda needs to be with Elphaba." I give a small chuckle. "I also now realize that what I thought was best for Glinda isn't. She is an adult now and perfectly able to make her own decisions." I look down towards the hallway that the girls just disappeared down. "Who knows Lerena, maybe in time, Elphaba will be like a daughter to us as well."
"I hope so." She says smiling at me resting her head against my chest. "They really are perfect together."
"That they are Lerena. I just wish I had realized that sooner." I say quietly. "Highmuster, don't beat yourself up over it." She smiles up at me. "You have allowed them to be reunited and they have forgiven you. Now, you need to forgive yourself and move on okay?"
"Alright. I will." I say and smile down at her. "You know," I turn to and take her hands in mind and kiss her softly. "I love you."
"I love you too, dear." Lerena says returning the kiss. "Now honey, why don't we go see that a meal is made that we can all enjoy together." I nod at her. "Sounds good." With that we head to the kitchen.
