Finally alone in the Petersons' home, I laid out a plan to get to star-crossed inc and back without anyone noticing. But that wasn't exactly a walk in the park. Especially with the unexpected twist of events.
My fingers trembled as I stared at the ashen android phone in my hand. Messages from the anonymous sender popped up one after the other, brightening the phone with every notification. His threats always seemed to dial-up a notch whenever I ignore him.
And as of now, I've decided to call him Chase. My eyes widened with apprehension as I tried making sense of his words. And from the looks of it, he's having a conversation with himself.
