I glared at Pandora, feeling my temper bleed through my skin like a tidal wave. My hands fisted at my sides, fingers clenching so hard that it drew blood. Her determination to spoil our plans made me want to beat the ever-living shit out of her. Epimetheus isn't just my enemy, but hers. Pandora is just so blinded by destiny to see that. "You're an asshole, do you know that? And that says a lot considering you're not even a Greek god."

Pandora lifted her chin, eyes condescending as she regarded me like I was a smudge of dirt stuck under her shoe. Her slender fingers grabbed the edges of her hood before drawing the dark fabric away from her head, revealing her sharp-edged face and tied bun.

She adjusted her black cloak and I noticed her fingernails were black as well. The same shade as her eyes. "According to the fates, Epimetheus is our beloved."

I gritted my teeth. "Bullshit. Only I get to choose my beloved, not three old ladies with an obsession with sewing." I don't know how many times I have to say it to penetrate her thick skull.

Hunter tried his best to look insignificant. He curled into himself on the bed, sitting with his arms hugging his knees as he looked between me and Pandora. He could see her -- just like Liam. His eyes were as wide as telescopes as he took in Pandora for the first time. It would've been best to clear out his confusion but that would have to wait. Better to deal with the one being who has the potential to take over my body than risk letting her go rampant.
