The words were more than a chunk of words put together -- it thrummed within me, powered by the one who spoke them. I stared dumbfoundedly; lips parted as I soundlessly tried to form words. "My...my dress?"
Standing a few feet away in an ominous position by the wall, I could barely catch his facial features in the dim purple light. But the green glow in his irises was unmistakenly prominent. They sliced in my direction, and every few seconds they'd turn a cherry crimson before reverting to their initial color.
He continuously alternated between his sinful and godly sides. And when he spoke, it felt like two deep voices synchronizing in perfect harmony. "Yes."
Anticipation swirled from within, like waves crashing down from all sides. My heart thrashed within its ribcage and I felt heat throb between my thighs, spurred on by the firmness in his tone. It wasn't influenced by his abilities -- that much I was certain -- neither did it come from a bond. "But...Zion--"
"If you're afraid of what the bond will do to Zion, don't worry, I won't test its limit." He lowered his head, gaze looking unapologetic. "But he'll definitely know what's going on."
