Braidguy didn't move; his face remained as stoic as ever. Nevertheless, I could still read his emotions like a book. Similar to Liam, his tails betrayed his original emotions -- and they were swaying like crazy. Either he was happy to steal a bond or glad I got his identity right.

"Was it that obvious?" he murmured so low under his breath, eyes taking in every facial detail of mine.

I pursed my lips, weighing my words. "Every time I say something that favors Liam, you get pissed off -- something akin to envy. But instead of trying to rip Liam's head off, you say certain words to convince yourself that you're still the best. Almost like you're trying to protect your ego. To add up, your Sin's eyes turned completely purple and most people attribute purple to Pride. You also bask in other people's fear and feed off it."

He smiled, looking extremely pleased. "Fear becomes surrender, and surrender becomes power." His thumb stroked my cheek. "But certain things I say aren't done to boost my ego. They are facts. If you take Raph's drákon as an example, looking at his size, you might think he's the strongest."

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Aren't all dragons powerful?"

His smile stretched wider. "Don't be fooled. When it comes to power, I am the strongest among the seven. Liam follows close behind."

"Liam?"

He parted my lips while I talked, thumbs now stroking the flesh as he watched with curiosity.
He cocked his head. "Judging from your confusion, it's easy to say that Liam hasn't shown you his full power."
