Sahil

I sighed, looking at the google searches. I had scoured at least 14 news articles that contained the event's advertisement, including 2 in Marathi and 3 in Hindi. But none of them had the tiniest information about the organiser. They all just had the same details; a momentous event in Varanasi, the chief guests for orphaned and impoverished children,  and other information already encompassed in the pamphlet.

I felt strangely disappointed. This event shouldn't be concerning me at all, yet I felt strangely connected to it. As if it were a giant magnet, and I was getting hopelessly desperate in finding the organiser.

Why it did so, I couldn't gauge.

But my instinct regurgitated that this wasn't to be taken lightly. And this event is strongly associated with this inexplicable feeling of home.

My fingers inadvertently wanted to type my next quest.

All of my bones, blood, and soul screamed to oblige my heart and give in once. But my brain remained adamant. As desire succeeded in quelling rationality for an uncanny moment, I found myself typing the name of the local daily where I had found the article.

And I was promptly led to this website which claimed to be the official handle of the local daily. The website was dull and depressing. It was devoid of any colours and lacked the aesthetics any high profile website would have possessed.

But the most annoying part was that the subsequent pages on the website, which was supposed to direct into other columns, were still undeveloped.  And a single sentence, small lettered, "Error-404, page not found", appeared on each page.

Almost on the verge of throwing away my laptop and watching it smash into pieces, my eyes reach the last column, 'Meet the Authors:.'

Imploring for this page to be updated, I click and wait desperately, watching the little circle go round and round, processing the page. A white blank screen appears, and an excruciatingly unbearable pain slashes my heart.

I sat still, unable to comprehend my following action. Deep down, I wanted the page to be uploaded. I did. As much as my brain chided my move, I managed to shun it and watch the blank screen with clouded eyes.

A few minutes after, I got frustrated by the heaviness in my heart. I pushed the mouse and reached out to close down the screen, but as an impact, the page had scrolled down, and I saw three pictures of specific individuals.

Astonished beyond words, I shake the mouse vigorously, and relief and a unique emotion tear in my heart. Then I realised that this page was working! It freaking was working!

I find the list of the writers in the weekly daily, along with their pictures on the right end. There were ten authors, but only the images of the first three authors had been uploaded.

Heart hammering, I scroll down the list,

1. Alisha Singh, Editor.

2. Tarun Varma, sub-editor.

3. Shalini Singhania, sub-editor

4. Tanvi Saurabh, sub-editor.

5. Akash Shah, content writer.

6. Disha Jain, content writer.

7. Surabhi Singh, content writer.
