"Falling in love is very real, but I used to shake my head when people talked about soul mates, poor deluded individuals grasping at some spiritual ideal not intended for mortals but sounded pretty in a poetry book. Then, we met, and everything changed, the cynic has become the converted, the sceptic, an ardent zealot." ― .E.A.Bucchianeri

Ayesha

"I think I am falling for you, Ayesha Mehra." He takes a deep breath before locking my eyes again, "I think I like you." He said, his voice, sounded good though. He did not break the eye contact and continued to stare at me intensely, observing all my actions.

My voice left my throat as I opened my mouth. My eyes widened. My heart began beating fast, and my cheeks heated up so quick, I was sure I was turning red.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

Did I hear him right?

Aneesh Gupta, the hottest guy of our college, just said that he liked me. And I just couldn't make peace with that fact.

" Now?" I asked.

"Now what?"

And when he noticed I was struggling for words, he spoke "I am just informing you. " he gives a light sad chuckle. I nodded, not knowing what to say.

He tilted his head backwards, still looking at me and put his hand back through his long dark hair,

"Ever bunked classes?" He asked his tone flirtatiously again.

"No. " I say, shaking my head,

"I guessed. Do you prefer ice cream or coffee?"

"Coffee. Why?"

"Because" he gave a sideways smirk before holding my hand. I feel oddly good, though. "You are going to bunk now. With me," and before, waiting for an answer, he opened the door of his side and helped me to get out, silencing my weak protests.

"Come on, don't tell me you don't want to do it. "

Somewhere, deep down my heart, I always wanted to bunk classes. Once at least. So, I just let this shrug.

He opened the passenger door for me and made me sit before leaving my hand. And then he walked opposite and sat down on the driver seat, and immediately drove his Audi, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel, absentmindedly. At signals, he would run his hand on his messy dark long hair and glance at me, frequently. I tried not to notice. But it is hard since I am a girl.

I looked away outside the window.

Wait, am I smiling?

I look at the rearview mirror, and my reflection confirms it, which makes me smile even more.

Yes, I am smiling.

Wow.

We arrived at a small yet cosy cafe. We made our way to the last available table and sat facing each other.

A waitress quickly came to our table to take our orders.

"Two cappuccino, veg rolls and French fries," Aneesh said instantly,
"Trust me; they taste heavenly."

Our order arrived shortly, and Aneesh was right. The rolls and the fries tasted excellent.

We start our conversation randomly, like the weather and 2nd-year boys,

" Are you telling me, You have been in Delhi for like, past four months and you haven't even visited it?" Aneesh said in an unbelievable tone.

I shook my head, sipping my cappuccino. God, I am falling in love with this cafe.
