Ayesha

It has been over two weeks since we returned from Kutchh.

Nothing new has happened, apart from the daily calls by Kavita Di, who said her return might be delayed by a week or so. And Sahil has been so happy ever since.

Akanksha has been all over the moon ever since I gave her Sahil's autograph. And Kumar is pleased with the shoot we took in Kutchh and is on trying his best to convince Sahil to sing, and Rhea has been Rhea; grumpy and sullen as ever.

Sahil has recently been obsessed with the weather forecasts and has become gruesome after every time he sees the news. And no matter how much I convince him to focus on other stuff; he wouldn't budge.

My job is going on great! And Akanksha has been such a great boss and a friend.  Our tea breaks have been a great distraction, as we talk about the latest trends and the random stuff ever. Amala and Ansh join us sometimes, and whenever they do, the breaks are a whole lot of fun!

And whenever Akanksha and Ansh are missing its only me and Amala. We both have bonded quite well, and she gossips about other employees (mild, of course ), and I have been laughing hard ever since.

One such break, Amala and I were sipping our tea, as usual, and Amala was checking her Instagram when she asserted;

"The Apocalypse has been postponed again!"

"Really?" I asked, surprised, placing my teacup down, "Again?"

"Yeah! I mean, how long will they make us wait? How can they do this to us? The posters look promising! And they wouldn't just release it! Stupid jerks!" She scolded, "But Sahil..." She whined.

I gave an uncomfortable smile.

Thankfully, I managed to steer the conversation to something else. And as I was talking, my mobile rang,

"Hello?"

"Ayesha, this is Kumar." A deep voice cr from the other end.

"Just a sec, " I covered the phone and whispered to Amala, " Sorry, I have to take this, -"

"Sure, " she smiled.

Giving her a grateful smile, I walked out of the cafe. Once, I was sure I was out of earshot, I spoke,

"Yeah?"

"Ayesha is Sahil ready to sing?"

"I don't know Kumar." I said irately, " But I am going to support any decision he takes, so-"

"But-"

"So, " I pressed, "you can't make me force him to do something. It's his choice! "

"But Ayesha-"

"No, Kumar. " I told in a final tone.

He held a long silence. After that, he spoke,

"Saturday, 8 am, SR Studios, "

"Kumar-" I began, exasperated.

"If he changes his mind by any chance, please tell him to report there. "
