You need to learn from your mistakes to start a new beginning.
                                             Ivan Hakin.

Sahil.

I lay on my bed with my eyes wide open. Flashes of my friendship with Ayesha pass in my mind her smile being the most frequent.

It's been two months since she left and I have never been as lonely as before. It feels like a year.

I miss our visits to Juhu, the coffee shop, the beaches, the gateway of India, the sunsets, the car drives.

God, you get the drill.

I missed Ayesha like hell.

I called her every day, and at the end, I would feel as if she broke down but managed to hide her sobs.

I would video-call her sometimes. to see her smile again. Her beautiful smile.

I closed my eyes as rays of the morning sun hit my eyes and thought about Rhea.

Rhea.

Our relationship is changing from best to good to okay to strange to weird and now extra odd.

Okay, she probably wanted to pretend as if nothing had happened between us.

Of course, nothing had happened between us. But I feel she is moving farther from me.

I pretended the same. Nothing happened between us.

After the award show, she called me

"Sahil, I'm off to London"

"Oh. Why?"

"For Shoot, silly. I will be back in two weeks."

"Fine. Bye, Rhea. Have a great time."

"Love you."

Pause.

"Love you too."

That's it — a conversation of 58 seconds.

Hmm.
Hmmm.

And then my thoughts shifted.

I woke up after an hour. ( I had fallen asleep thinking)

I had nothing to do.

I made a cup of coffee and whiled my time at the youtube.

I received a call at around 4 p.m. It was Ron.

"Hey, Ron."

"Sahil. The cast has been finalised. And today we are having some procedures regarding the film. If you could come--"

"Ya, I'm coming in two minutes. "

Relieved that I had something to do, I rushed downstairs and brought my white BMW out. It's been ages since I had ridden on it.

I reached Ron's in 20 minutes.

I met the cast. All were new. I smiled at all and had a flashback of my first movie.

After the formal introductions, we were put on speaking terms with the producer.

We were briefed about the locations of the shoot. The first schedule would be here in Mumbai, the second in Ooty and the third was undecided.

We all signed the contract.

"The shoot begins tomorrow," Ron said as we all nodded.

I came out smiling widely.
