"Did Yelena leave last night?" You ask Kate.

"Yeah, she said she had some business to take care of." Kate responds.

After sitting around all day the sun finally starts to set and the light of the moon and city lights takes its place.

"Come on." Your dad says, grabbing his gear and heading towards the door, in a suit.

"Where are we going?" You ask, standing up.

"New Years party, I got some info on the guest list, and it may be in our interest to go." He responds.

"Who's on the guest list, and why's it in our interest?" You ask sitting up.

"Maya will be there." He responds.

"I thought we were done with her." Kate says in response.

"There was a witness who came out and said they seen a young female with a gun aimed at a large male, does that description sound like someone in particular to you?" Clint asks, looking at Kate.

"The dude I caught in the toy store?" Kate asks.

"Yes Kingpin, now put on something nicer to wear to the party we leave in fifteen." He says.

"Why do we need to talk to Maya?" Kate asks.

"There wasn't a body found, and if she's alive then she's in trouble." He answers.

"And we're helping her because..." You say, not fully understanding the situation.

Clint looks down at his hands.

"Because she doesn't have anyone else on her side." He says, leaving through the door.

"Does it have to do with Ronin?" You ask Kate.

She nods.

You and Kate look through her aunts closets trying to find something nice enough to wear to a New Years party.

"How about this?" You say, holding a dress up to Kate's body jokingly, because it's hideous.

"That's the worst thing I've ever seen." She says, looking down at the dress.

"I'll wear it if you'll wear this one." She says, holding up an even uglier dress.

"There's no way in hell I'm wearing that." You say.

"Too late." She says.

You shake your head and grab the dress out of her hand. You go to the bathroom to change, and once you come out you look at Kate who is in an all grey suit.

"Where did you get that?" You ask her, looking at the nice suit she's wearing then the dress you're wearing.

"I have my ways." She says, clearly happy with herself.

You straighten her tie.

"Well at least one of us looks nice." You say.

"Don't start that, you make that dress look way better than when it was on the hanger." She says in response.

"That's not saying much." You say, making her laugh.
