1 What is the title of your story? and what inspired the title?
The title of my story is called the "Beach Cookoff" I was inspired by binging Masterchef on YouTube.
2 What is your story about?
My story is about a group of college friends enjoying the beach and having a cooking competition during the summer.
3 Is the summer prompt contest, the first contest you entered?
No, I have entered one or two contests before.
4 What was your reaction to discovering you were one of the winners?
Elated. I'd never won a writing contest before and I've been writing for a very long time.
5 What is your favorite summer activity?
My favorite summer activity are road trips and traveling (which has been a bit harder since the pandemic.) I also play video games and read.
6 do you have any future plans with the story you entered? (standalone novel/series)
Possibly. I'm thinking of turning it into an Anthology of summer stories.
7 What's a good piece of advice to give someone, who desires to enter a contest?
My advice is to keep practicing writing and reading and don't give up.
8 What is the most important piece of a story?
The cover |quality of the story| type of story
The most import part of the story has to be the quality of the story. If readers are bored than that's a bit of an issue.
9 How does being a part of the Wattpad community help you as writer?
Wattpad has helped me branch out as a writer because I'd never been able to see feedback on my work until I started posting online. I feel like Wattpad is a great way to start out as a beginner.
10 What genre of story attracts you as a reader?
I read any kind of story from historical fiction to sci-fi/fantasy.
13 What's a good piece of writing advice, that you've learned?
Editing is a helpful way to make stories better and more readable for audiences .
14 Do you believe contest and interview platforms help you as a writer?
Yes, I feel like it would help get my work more out there.
15 Since joining Wattpad, do you believe you've become a better writer?
Not necessarily since joining Wattpad but I do believe my writing has improved even if I do make mistakes here and there.
16 What is a must have item for you to enjoy the summer?
One item I must have for summer is a good milkshake.
