Chapter 38 - Difficult

I was playing with the other kids here in what we called 'home for the lost'. I have met a lot of different kids, some of them are older than me and some of them are younger. I even saw a room where I can see some babies sleeping peacefully. 

I tried to sneak in just to see these cute little babies, but our 'mom' scold me. Then I saw a beautiful woman walking towards us. Just to avoid our mom's scolding, I run to that beautiful woman and hug her. 

I looked up and saw her beautiful smile. I want to be like her! 

"M-mom," 

"Naku, Ma'am. Pasensiya na po." my mom said to this woman in front of me. She tried to take me away from her but I cried. 

"Ayos lang, Nel." The beautiful woman said. As I look to her, all I can feel is amazement. Like she is the most beautiful woman I ever saw. She has a fair skin, straight hair, monolid eyes, and her nose was pointy all right. All in all, for me she is goddess.

"Hi, hija. What's your name?" a man in early forty asked.  

"L-lo," at tumigil na ako sa pagsasalita.

"I'm sorry, Sir Chris, she is having trouble with speech. I think it because of what happened to her." Then I saw the woman look at me with worried face. Then I notice that the man and the beautiful woman look at each other.

"Oh dear," then the beautiful woman ask my mom more about me. They walk away and enter inside the office of my mom. 

Then I felt a hand resting on my shoulder. I look up to him then he pat my head gently.

"I'm sorry for your loss, baby." then he hugged me. I feel nothing but contentment when he did that. And loss? What does he mean by my loss?

Then a tear escape from my eye after of what he said.

"Diann," minulat ko mata ko at nakita si Noah na punong-puno ng pag-aalala ang kaniyang mga mata.

"Nananaginip ka," saka ko lang narealized na medyo basa mata ko kaya pinunasan ko yun. Naalala ko bigla yung panaginip ko, nang maalala ko yun bigla ulit nanlabo paningin ko sa mga nagbabadyang mga luha.

"I.. I have a dream. Where I first saw mom and dad. I-in an orphanage." at mahina nagsimula na akong humikbi at niyakap niya ako. Lalong nanikip dibdib ko ng maalala ko yung yakap ni daddy sa akin. 

"Uwi na tayo." I said out of nowhere. At dinampian niya ako ng halik sa buhok ko.

"Okay, sabihan ko na si kuya Luke para maprocess na papers natin." tumango na lang ako. 

As Noah promised, kinausap niya agad si kuya Luke right after our conversation. Kaya tinawagan na agad niya sekretarya niya to book us a flight. Kasama rin ata si Andre at yung kambal dahil narinig ko na nagbigay siya ng listahan. I am now eating my breakfast, together with Noah. Nilagyan niya ako ng egg and bacon sa plato ko at napansin ko ang pagsulyap niya sa akin kaya napatingin rin ako sa kaniya. 

I felt something I can't explain as we exchange stares at each other. 

"Is it possible to bring Cloud with us?" mawala lang yung ilang sa aming dalawa.

"I'm... not sure about that." at tinuon na niya ang mga mata niya sa plato niya at nagsimula nang kumain.

"We still need to process some papers if you are planning to bring him with us." bigla akong nanlumo matapos kong tanungin yun kay kuya Luke. 

"How long will it take?" kuya Ethan asked. 

"If it's rushed it will take 1 week." nanlumo ako. One week pa, gusto ko nang umuwi. So maiiwan dito si Cloud? Kung alam ko lang na uuwi ako edi sana inasikaso ko na 'to noon pa.
