__________**********__________

|Arthur's POV|

Soon after I left the castle with Seris, Caera and Aldir, another person joined us on our little trip back to the sanctuary. Much to my genuine surprise.

Wren.

He appeared—literally—right after the small meeting with Seris, Aldir and myself concluded, and decided that it would be fun to hide in the damn walls of the castle. Which was a mistake on his part after I started restoring the castle, seeing as the walls shifted back into place in order to mend itself.

Wren, apparently, was slammed in the face with a nice chunk of wall.

And aside from Regis spontaneously growing his own wings out of destructive aether, Wrens less than pleased reaction to being assaulted by the shifting walls were highly amusing.

'I'll say. Did you see his face, mom? He looked like he'd burst from embarrassment.' Regis suddenly cackles in my mind after listening to my thoughts. I shook my head with a chuckle, the wind covering the sound as it whips past me.

Looking to my right, the whimsical yet comical sight of Wren sitting in a self conjured chair whilst flying high in the atmosphere was the most bizarre thing to see. Not to mention the fact that he seemed to be sipping from a tea cup somehow. Seris gliding nearest him, regarded the sight with a raised brow, her shoulders shifting, telling me that she was most likely laughing.

'Heh, watch this.' My eyes narrowed on Regis as his shadowy form darts across me. His form whizzing over to Wren, only to snatch the porcelain teacup from Wrens hands an chucks it down into the lower atmosphere. A piercing glare is directed at my companion who is currently howling in laughter at the now slightly drenched Asura.

"He's a bit unhinged today. Sorry about that." I call out to him as I glanced over at Regis in mild amusement.

"If you were gonna have a tea party, you could've at least invited me! I would've made biscuits." Regis giggles as he settles to glide next to me. I almost facepalmed at the wolf whose only purpose at the moment was to find a good way to piss Wren off.

"Why did I create you?" Wren grumbles just as we all started to descend from the sky. Caera, who has been silent this entire time, chuckles while shaking her head.

"Wait...D-dad?"

I choked on my spit at hearing that, finding that I wasn't the only one that was caught off guard by my companions words.

Not long after we made it to Blackbend, we traveled through the teleportation gate there, and finally made it back to the sanctuary with just a bit of trouble.

I guess it would be troubling to others to see a Lance, escorting an Asuran convoy, a scythe and her student to the only completely safe place in Dicathen.
