After further searching, Robyn and William couldn't find much else hidden among the ruins. However, the Demolitionist discovered after some 'fun with explosives' (as he put it) that a type of ore named Charred Ore was streaked beneath the Brimstone Crags. According to the Recipe Browsing Tablet, it was combined with Hellstone to craft Unholy Cores, so at that moment William was with Durim and Tony mining as much as he could.

Which left Robyn trying out lava fishing again. It felt like it had been such a long time since she'd really tried to focus and just enjoy the relaxation that came with fishing. She'd caught Crag Bullheads, Brimstone Fish, Shadowfish, and more – all species she'd never seen before. Which she wasn't surprised by. At that moment she was excited at what else could be swimming about in the lava, another feeling she'd lost for so long.

Then she heard the roar.

It sounded low but strangely ethereal. She quickly glanced around, wondering if another Scryllar or some other enemy was racing towards her, but she couldn't see anything.

Until a flash of blue out in the Underworld wastes caught her eye.

It stood on an ash hill, something long and tall. But it was too far for her to make out any details.

She reeled in her fishing hook and took flight. But in the moment she glanced down at the lava, the blue had disappeared.

She glided down to where she'd seen it and glanced around, but saw nothing.

Maybe I just imagined it.

She climbed to the top of the hill to get a higher flight point.

But it was when she crested the hill that she made a real discovery.

A large dome of dark metal plating, sticking a few blocks out of the lava, starkly out of place in the Underworld.

It wasn't the dome itself that drew her attention. It was that she recognised the material.

Back in that underground sea biome, where they'd met Amidias, when she and Meg had come across a strange secret lab.

The walls had been made of the same material.

There was another spray of bright blue Magic Mirror particles in the hut as Sid appeared.

"Nearly had your arms torn off by an Oarfish again, Sid?" Meg asked.

"Ha ha," Sid muttered. "It seems like every time I head down there I always get overwhelmed by something too strong for my summons. Amidias hadn't been kidding about creatures devouring me in a heartbeat."

"Maybe we should just come back later. Maybe the enemies down there are just too strong right now and we can –"

"But I'm so close to reaching a chest!" Sid exclaimed. "I've got a new idea to try. Don't wait up." He ran out onto the bridge, over to above the Abyss entrance, and dropped straight into the water.

Meg sighed, walking onto the bridge herself, but at a slower pace. Sid was the only one of them with an Ocean Crest or anything that could slow down the loss of breath caused by the Abyss. If they managed to assemble a larger collection of more and better diving equipment, perhaps even brew some potions for breathing underwater, it could become easier to delve deeper into the Abyss. Unlock the secrets it held.

She approached Red Beard and Amidias, who were standing together in conversation.

"You are a coarse character, Red Beard," the Sea King was saying, "But your love and passion for the ocean is something I can quite appreciate! And you're quite different from others like you that I've encountered."
