The goth would have flinched at the sound of the door thudding open if it wasn't for her typewriter holding most of her attention, however, she did take in how quickly her roommate was pacing. Judging from the short steps alone, Wednesday already knew she was happy, the one thing she didn't want to deal with at this moment in time.

The goth sighed. The pacing of her footsteps broke her focus in a matter of seconds. Wednesday turned around, a dull expression laid on her face, making the perfect contrast between hers and Enid's. The blonde was staring at Wednesday, a bright smile on her face. 'Hurry up and tell me what's made you so happy before I put a bullet in my head.' The blonde inhaled deeply. 'Ajax asked me out on a date!'

Within the blink of an eye, the goth immediately disassociated as she began to think deeply, not paying any attention. 'A date? So did I read the signs wrong? Of course, she's straight, why did I get my hopes up just because she was so happy around me? This is irritating.' The was jolted out of her thoughts by Enid shaking her shoulders. 'Are you listening to me?!~'

The goth gulped a little. 'Yeah, continue.' Enid backed away a few steps and continued pacing. 'Okay so, technically, I asked him out on a date by yelling at him about how I've been trying so hard to get him to ask me out on a date and then he asked me, but that's okay, right? I mean.. th... en... he still.. a-'

The goth was already so tired of this ramble. All Enid was talking about was Ajax. Ajax this, Ajax that, I this, I that, we this, we that. It made her blood boil. 'Why doesn't she talk about the things we do together? Surely she has fun with me, right? Or am I simply doing the things I want, thinking she'd enjoy it when in reality she's just clinging to me? Have I done anything she liked? I hate this.' Her mind continued to ramble.

She hadn't even noticed the blonde stopped talking and was now just staring at her. 'Maybe she's just too stressed to focus?' The blonde thought to herself. She smiled a little before going to her bed, and laying down.

Wednesday sat down at her typewriter. She couldn't think at all. Enid had already left for her date and now the goth was sitting there, corrupted by her thoughts. She couldn't think straight at all. The one thing she needed most, she couldn't get. It made her want to rip her mind apart and shove it down the drain.

However, that was all interrupted by the door slamming open, causing Wednesday to flinch. The loud footsteps stormed over to the other side of the room before stopping as loud sobs irrupted the silence. The goth felt a part of her want to go over to the blonde and comfort her but the other made her legs feel like a stone that weighed tons, regardless, she turned around in her chair, now seeing Enid who was sobbing into her mattress.

The goth hesitantly got up, she felt sick, not the good kind. She slowly walked to Enid's bed before sitting down on the mattress beside her, looking down at her head. 'What happened to make you appear before me in such a weak, vulnerable state?' Enid slowly looked up, not at Wednesday however, just at the wall as she continued to cry heavily. 'He.. s-stood me up!' She choked out between her sobs as she began to breathe faster.

The goth felt her breath hitch, she didn't know what to do. 'M-Maybe.. I'm.. just unlovable.. Useless.. a disappointment..' She muttered. The goth stared at her. She had the words she wanted to say in her head but when she opened her mouth nothing came out. Enid shifted so her back was leaning on the bed. She began to pant heavily. 'Can-tt... B-breath..' she muttered as she desperately tugged on the collar of her shirt.

She began to sweat and have this overwhelming nausea in her stomach. Her body shook intensely as her heart felt like it would explode. She began to tug at the hem of her collar even more, desperately trying to rip it off. The goth hesitated before acting, she quickly moved to sit in front of me. She snapped her fingers, immediately getting her attention. 'Enid. You are safe here. I am the only one here. You will not be hurt when in my presence.

Enid's eyes were looking all over Wednesday's face, but the goth knew she was trying to focus. 'Enid.' She whispered as she gently took ahold of Enid's hands, stopping her from tugging on her shirt so violently. 'Breathe, can you try that for me? Breathe in for five seconds, hold for three, exhale for 5 and repeat.' The goth did it once as an example. Wednesday noticed how Enid's shaky breaths slowly began to follow hers as the wolf tightened her grip on Wednesday's hands.

The goth stared at her. She surely was going to kill Ajax later. After a few minutes, her breath began to steady. 'I would like you to name five things you can see, hear and feel..' She said in a slow, controlled, quiet tone. The wolf gulped before she began. 'You, Window, Thing, ceiling, clothes.' She said with a shakey breath. She hesitated. 'Your voice, my voice, rain, breathing, heart. Your hands, floor, bed, breeze, heart.'

Enid stared, there was something about her that make her feel so safe. She was still shaking badly. 'Would you mind if I touched you?' Enid blinked at Wednesday, perplexed by what she meant. Regardless, she nodded. Her eyes widened at the feeling of the girls arms wrapped around her waist and her head resting on her shoulder. Enid felt like she was going to cry again, this time, happy ones. She felt herself relax as she took in a deep inhale of the girl's scent before desperately clinging onto her back, gripping tightly.

She felt safe in Wednesday's arms. She was glad to have such an amazing.. best friend by her side. She inhaled deeply, she felt like she wanted more of something, but she didn't know what. Her head was throbbing. She'd think about it tomorrow. The wolf closed her eyes, immediately feeling her body slip, as she fell into rest in the girl's arms. Wednesday immediately knew Enid had fallen asleep by how her arms fell to her side. The goth slowly lifted the wolf, placing her gently back down on the bed.

She stared at the blonde figure that was resting. Her eyes were red and puffy and her neck was light red with claw marks. She huffed. 'Just 5 minutes..' She muttered as she slipped under the covers next to Enid, staring up at the blonde. 'I'll always be here to help you..' she muttered before gently holding onto the blonde arms and closing her eyes. She ended up staying there for a lot longer.
