"Why can't you just tell me?"

"You're making a big deal over nothing."

"Oh, so this is my fault?"

They lay, in each other's embrace—a usual for the both of them. A routine almost. Every night, at 10 pm, after the seer's writing hour; after the wolf's endless agony of impatience. They would hold each other, surrounded by serenity. For Wednesday, she almost always enjoyed this silence. But—Enid has been dying to ask her lover a question. On the latter could never prepare to be asked.

She thought it was the right moment to ask: so she did.

"Why do you always spend an hour writing?.." She whispered. The ravenette tensed up a little, barely detected by her lover. Ever since she finished writing her book back when they were in high school, the old, typewriter was still used. But this time she was never informed why. She was dying—Aching to know what she's been so content with completing.

Wednesday lightly kissed her forehead, resting her chin on her hair.

"Don't worry about it." She whispered, seeming calm despite her heart knocking against her ribs; threatening to fall into cardiac arrest or have a heart attack with the sudden acceleration. Enid slightly frowned she could hear the goth's heart, beating a million miles a second. She chuckled lightly, trying to itch away her curiosity. Seeing as curiosity kills the cat.

"You're heart is beating fast. It does that when you lie, yet you still insist on hiding the truth from me," she sat up, turning her head, allowing her soft eyes to gaze into Wednesday's. "What's going on, dear?"

Wednesday let out a small exhale. She wasn't ready to tell her what she had been planning for a very long time. It needed to be perfect and it needed to be a surprise for it to be at its best when it is completed. The Seer sat up. There was a very clear tension in the air—it made her, rather uncomfortable.

"Enid.. just trust me. it's none of your concern. You'll be happy when I get to tell you when the time is right." Enid just scoffed as her hands flew up for a second before slapping back down on her thighs.

"You know Wednesday, I'm more than sure that this is the right fucking time!" She exclaimed. "Why can't you just tell me?" She could feel her anger slowly boiling up inside. It had been a long day at work for her and she was tired. She was so sick of all the secrets.

"You're making a big deal over nothing." The seer replied, a cold look in her eyes.

"Oh? So it's my fault?" Enid let out a half-surprised scoff with wide eyes and a half smile on her face. It quickly faded. "Ah yes, you keeping secrets from your lover is all my fault! Tell me, Wednesday, what did I do to make you keep secrets? Hmm? " Wednesday sighed, closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose.

"Enid.. just calm down.."

"Calm down?.. Seriously? You're telling me to calm down? I have a right to be upset!" She huffed. "You know what, I'll see what you're planning myself." She yelled as she stormed over to the typewriter.

Wednesday's eyes widened. "Enid, no!" She yelled as the wolf picked up the paper from the typewriter. The seer felt her blood run cold when her girlfriend's face went from an angry look to a look of shock. Her cheeks heated up in a crimson red as she covered her face, looking at the floor. "You're not supposed to see that.."

With tears pricking at her eyes, vision getting blurry, she looked up at the embarrassed goth.
