"How about we watch this?" I asked.

"I'm tired of Vampire diaries Thea." She said making me gasp.

"Who's tired of The Vampire Diaries you have to be out of your mind to say that." I said.

"Guess what." She smiled.

"What?" I laughed

"It's almost Christmas." She smiled again.

"Is Christmas your favorite holiday?" I asked her.

"No it's Halloween, but I like Christmas time because it's when I can spend three days with Daddy all day, and now I can spend it with you too." She said.

"What do you want for Christmas?" I asked her.

"To spend the day with you and daddy." She told me making me laugh.

"Your wish is already granted." I told her.

"Do you and Daddy like each other?" She asked.

"Um I-" I started to say but looked at the time. "Jesus Luna it's one in the morning."

"I was hoping you wouldn't notice." She laughed off making me laugh too.

"You're lucky it's the weekend, but I think you should go to bed. You know how your dad gets when there are bags under your eyes." I told her.

"Okay." She sighed getting up from the couch.

"Do you want me to tuck you in?" I asked.

"No I'm fine, I'm a big girl now." She said with her hands on her hips making me hold mine in defense. She went up the stairs and I checked my phone seeing No calls from Nicolas at all. He isn't out this late all the time but he say that they would've had a long night but it was still extra late.

I was worried at this point so I called him hearing the phone ring for a while but he didn't answer at all. Okay now I'm even more worried. I called Marco but he didn't answer making me call again as he answered on the last ring.

"Marco what's going on?" I asked.

"What?"

"It's one in the morning and no one's picking up the phone what's going on?" I asked.

"Nothing." He said.

"I can hear your voice shaking, something is happening just tell me." I sighed.

"Thea I- Marco." I said cutting him off.

"It's Nicolas... he- Where are you?" I asked cutting him off.

"Were at the warehouse, the doctors are helping him. Their was an explosion at the warehouse we were in and Nicolas couldn't get out in time I-I wasn't leaving without him I was coming back to him but everything happened so fast. Everything was foggy and dark I saw him on the ground seemed like the explosion blew him off the stairs it was so many stairs I..." He trailed off making tears form my eyes.

"I-Is he okay?" I asked.

"He was shot, and the explosion knocked him out I don't know he was on conscious when I finally found him with some parts of the building almost crushed him he's still in recovery shes doing all she can." He told me.

"Can I see him?" I asked wiping my eyes.

"I don't know if that's a good idea." He sighed.

"Marco please." I said.

"He should be up in a-" He started to say but got distracted. "He's still on conscious but he's okay Thea I promise."

I nodded while sniffing. "Will he be coming home?"

"I don't know." He sighed. "I'll text you if anything comes up." When he hung up I rubbed my face and turned off the tv going upstairs.

I won't even be able to sleep tonight.

I checked Luna seeing her already asleep and went into my room changing into my pajamas while pacing back and forth after.

I calmed down my nerves and layed into bed hearing the door open. I looked over seeing Luna standing by the door holding her teddy bear. She closed the door and ran over to the bed laying in it with me.

"I can't sleep." She told me.

"You were just asleep when I checked on you..." I trailed off.

"I was faking. I heard you on the phone with Marco... is daddy okay?" She asked.

I sighed cuddling her into my chest. "He's fine." I didn't want to worry her or tell her anything. She's a child, I didn't want her to think about negative about things.

"Is he coming home?"

"He will, he's just still busy with things." I told her making her nod.

"You don't have to lie to me to protect me. I'm a big girl." She lowly said.

"I know." I slowly looked down seeing her eyes closed making me sigh mentally.

She's always been a strong little girl. It sometimes feel like she's babysitting me instead of the other way around.
