Maybe I am not?

I'm quite confused right now though. Firstly. Masaya ako dahil nakakapaglibang kami ng buong party. And at the same time makakakuha kami ng benefits the moment na mahuli namin ang town thief.

The group was being splitted into two; The Blue team where Leonidas is the leader. And the Red Team which is ako naman ang kumakatawang leader.

Naglalakad kami opposite street kung saan papunta sina Leonidas. And so far, nothing happened for the last several minutes. We didn't let a single stone unturned. Bawat sulok ng lugar, even roof blindspots sinuyod namin at kahit saang lugar na mahahalatang suspicious at kakaiba hindi namin pinalampas.

I'm now currently standing infront of a barbeque shop near the town's fountain. Medyo mausok sa parteng ito at maglalaway ka talaga sa amoy ng niluluto ritong barbeque. Habang sarap na sarap akong kumakain, bigla ring dumating si Alistair na tumatakbo.

Nilingon ko ito habang puno ang bibig at mabilis na ngumunguya. "May nahanap ka?" I asked, while carelessly chewing my food.

Bahagya syang hinihingal na inangat muli ang katawan akong tiningnan. "Nalibot ko na ang bahaging sinabi nyong suyurin ko. Pero wala talaga akong mahanap na pupwedeng gawing lead kung saan nagtatago ang town thief."

My head went up and down repeatedly. "Hmm. I see. Gusto mo?" I stretched out my hand holding a set of barbecue near him.

"Ah, hindi po. Busog pa ako."

Not that long, from the other side of the street tumatakbo rin si Maximo na lumapit sa 'kin. Hinarap ko ito't hinintay ang kanyang sasabihin.

"Nothing strange from that side." So brief and precise.

Inalok ko rin sya ng kinakain ko pero umayaw din sya. These two are so serious with this competition.

"So, what should we do now?" Maximo slid down his both hands inside the pants pocket. "That town thief might still be hiding somewhere or even baka may nakaligtaan tayong lugar na hindi maayos na napuntahan."

"Baka nahuli na ng Blue team ang town thief?" Alistair said with a little disappointment.

I smiled. "Hindi malabong mangyari 'yon." Si Leonidas ang leader ng kabila. So hindi na ako magugulat kung naunahan na nila kami.

"You seemed happy about it, though? Nakaka-frustrate kaya matalo, ayos lang sa inyo 'yon?" Maximo's comment made me turn my eyes at him.

"Losing doesn't mean we're weak. It just means they're more capable from doing the things we have in common." I remarked before eating another set.

"Pfft. Reasons." Maximo said again, kaya't mahinang natawa si Alistair.

'Tong dalawang 'to. Sino bang leader dito?

Our small talk got interrupted when the town's bell suddenly rang disturbingly. The loud noise echoed keeping all of our attentions in a one side where the bell tower is located.

"Anong nangyayari?" Alistair whispered with such curiousness.

"Tsk. So noisy." the guy next to me clicked his tongue with such annoyance.

The bell just rang seconds ago and I wonder what's the deal about it? Sa lakas nito, halatang makukuha talaga ang atensyon ng lahat na nasa buong town.
