"I'm shocked," a voice deadpanned from behind. 

I turned, recognizing Dex's voice. 

"Dex-" I tried to explain. 

"No, no, I get it. You're going on some dangerously stupid adventure and decided that oh my god Dex must've been lying when he said he was in it no matter what for you. So you decided to waltz on out of a secret passage that I discovered years ago. Well, luckily for me, I know how you think, so there's a fat chance you're going wherever you're going without me."

I stared at him, mouth slightly open. The determined look on his face sparked some guilt it me. I should've trusted him.  

"Ok." I conceded. 

He blinked, like he was surprised. I laughed.

"What? You think you can make a speech like that and I'll say no? Come on. I'll explain along the way."

"Ok...but one snag..." 

Biana stepped out of nowhere. Well, technically she was behind the wall but still. 

"I'm coming to."
