Continuing from the last part,

They are on their way to the Vedic Village Resort.
   
Monami sits a little closer to Karan. She asks softly: “Tell me who is the murderer, ah.”

    She has not seen him since he ‘announced’ that he wanted to ‘replay’ what happened on the night. He left the office promptly after giving Monami a list of instructions. It was a short notice, and there were plenty of things for Monami to organise. Now that they are in a car together, just the two of them, Monami can’t wait to find out what’s in his mind.

   Karan : “Not telling you.”

Is he trying to keep her guessing?  But that’s not his style.  Besides he did say he needs to verify something first. 

    Monami asked: “kya abhi bhi kuch evidence Kam hain? Is that why you want everyone there?”

    "Nahi" Karan  answered, "Humare pass already enough evidence hain. Main bs.. I just want the murderer there so that I can shame him….or her.” 

    Monami: "......" Okay.  That’s a standard Karan  type answers.

   She quits asking. The low rays of the sun shine through the windows of the back seat. Karan  face’s has a soft golden glow. 

  Monami looks at him. He looks handsome, noble even. Last night’s embrace returns to her mind. The warmth that surrounded her. 

But…  he’s probably forgotten about it. After all, his brain only has room for his work.

Avni has arranged a special meeting at the Vedic Village Resort. She was a little anxious about what will happen. Like Monami, Avni has asked Karan  who is responsible for Shagun’s death several times. Karan  didn’t tell her much, only to arrange several security guards to be at the scene,  ready to escort the murderer to the police.

When the dinner reception finished, it’s past 10:00pm. It’s a rainy night, as Karan  has hoped for. Staffs from Customer 3 Division are sitting in a minivan. It’s going to an area of the resort that is familiar to them. They arrived at the residences. When they realise where they will be staying tonight, the mood in the van changed dramatically. Suddenly, there were no more jokes, no more gossips or laughs. The team looked at each other.

Seven people, carrying luggage, were standing in front of the residences. Not far behind stood Avni assistant , and several bodyguards.

“Room assigned hain sabhi ke......" Monami is holding a stack of cards handing them out to the group, “aap sabka wahi same arrangement hain jo 1st June ko tha.. jis raat shagun ki death hui thi."

This is the opening line Karan  asked her to use.

Everyone takes their room card. They are disconcerted by this loaded statement.

Debina was the first to speak: “Director Shergill, iska kya matlab hain?"

Karan gave what is probably the first real smile they’ve seen since they first met him: “It’s what on your mind. We are going to recapitulate the strings of events that led to Shagun’s death. ”

Monami further explained. “Director Shergill aur Mujhe Chairman Goenka ne Shagun ke suicide ko investigate karne k liye send Kiya hain. Kuch cheezein hain jo hum clarify karna chahte hain.. aur isme hume aap sabki madad chahiye.”
