Byakuya was enjoying the spring break, the sun was shining, bird were singing, the breeze was great, and above all that, his beloved was sleeping soundly next to him. Their head was on his lap. They were snoring slightly, which Byakuya found quite endearing, but would none the less tease them about it later. Byakuya was being so sentimental, because this was one of the few times he could truly be himself. No stupid classmates, no unbearable teachers, no father.

Just him, you, and the skies above. Because you both went to different schools, times like these were rare. It was even harder because neither of your parents knew of your relationship. If they did find out..Byakuya sighed, and looked down at you again, admiring all your features

Your eyes, even closed right now, brought light to his.

Your hands, that would hold his with such confidence, or give a squeeze of reassurance.

Your cheeks,  which he just secretly wanted to pinch all day.

And your lips, they complemented your beautiful smile and he loved the way they felt on his lips.

He let out a breath, a small small smile gracing his features. Only you were able to make him understand what "love" really meant. The tip of his thumb lightly traced your cheek, almost cupping your face. When you lean into his touch, he stops breathing for a second. The sky is turning into a blue fading to orange, everything on the horizon a dark silhouette of what it once was. That's right, you wanted to watch the sunset with him.

He flicks your forehead gently, you stir, but don't wake up. He flicks again, slightly harder. Your eyes open, then close again.  He purses his lips in a line, knowing you had something up your sleeve. But what it was, he couldn't predict. He flicked your forehead again, "C'mon..get up."
"Nuh uh. Not until you wake me in a romantic way." You tease, a teasing smirk on your face. Byakuya rolled his eyes, but obliged.
"Darling, don't you want to watch the sunset with me?" He batted his eyelashes theatrically.
"Mid." You were unimpressed
His eyebrows furrowed, a little offended "What do you mean, "mid."! That was very romantic!"
"But it's not a kiss." A smile akin to a Cheshire Cat spread across your face
"I'm not going to kiss you, you've been snoring like an old man." He deadpans
You sigh dramatically "So picky.."
"And yet I chose you." He nudged you slightly as you sat up beside him
You leaned on him comfortably, "Somehow."
"Somehow." He repeats, leaning on you now as well, as the both of you watch the sunset.
