The next few days go by and everything goes well on the camp, everyone is back on the ranch. Ryan comes in your office it's lunchtime and you two are going in town with some of the others. A few minutes later you two are getting in your jeep with Teeter and Colby who are going with you two into town for lunch, Lloyd is meeting you all there it's you four plus him to talk about the roster this coming week, Rip is on a trip with Ashley getting some new local providers for the ranch. You four make it to the cafe and Lloyd is there already with Jamie, you four plus them two will be go over some roster for the next week, jamie is helping out more around the ranch since Beth isn't involved now. You love that because Jamie is one of your best friends on the ranch, and you are happy you can work with him now finally after all this years. You, Ryan and Colby and Teeter seat down at a table with Jamie and Floyd, you all begin to talk, and then order your lunch. Tonight you and Ryan are going to take the next step in your relationship, you are in your office on the ranch, you just finished up your classes for this semester, so you are out for a month then you back and finish up, you take your test then sign out then you start your meditating session, after you finish, your teacher message you along with all of the other students and let you all know your grades will be up in a few days, and she will see you all next semester. As you take a few breaths then you get up and go out of your office and stand on the porch, you look around the ranch and see everyone else are doing there jobs, you grab rope off the hook and then you head to the barn you see Carter, he is a troubled teen who Ashley took in and is helping, you say "Carter grab your jacket plus your hat and come with me, I got to do a job and you are going to learn the ropes" as he nods his head and goes to grab his jacket and hat then you two head to the four-wheelers and head up.
A few minutes later you two are at the spot, you turn to look at Carter "I need to turn around when Beth comes up here, Carter she has to be doubt with" as he nods his head and smiles at you "alright Shasta, I don't like Miss Beth she is mean to me, plus miss Ashley is the one who take me in, her and your brother Rip are the ones take care of me" as you nod your head, a few minutes later Beth comes up and Carter turns around as you walk over to Beth and you two talk, until she swings at you and you take her down and start to beat her up, you get up and grab your gun and shot her straight in between the eyes, you seat up as catch your breath as you say "Carter turns around and I need you to grab my bag" as he turns around and goes to get your bag and bring it to you as you smile at him, you take your bag and radio to Lloyd who is in the barn you ask him to the truck up, you took care of the bitch, he lets you know he will be up there in a few minutes, you smile at Carter and he helps you up, I think she broke my jaw" as you two stand over Beth's dead body. A few minutes go by and Lloyd comes up in the truck, you two smile and you get in the front seat, while him and Lloyd cover up the body and place it in the back of the truck, Lloyd get in the driver side and Carter gets in next to you and Lloyd looks you over, "you need to let one of girls look at you, that jaw is red and swollen" as you nod your head, you all park and you get out, Lloyd and Carter take her body to the train station, you go see Ashley who looks at your jaw and says "she got you good but I'm guessing you finished her off" as you nod your head. She smiles and looks inside your mouth to see if anything is broken, she lets you know your alright, just swollen" as you smile at her, you let her know Carter was there and is helping with the body with Lloyd, as she smiles and says "thanks Shasta I appreciate you taking him under your wing" as you smile big at her. Then you leave her office.
