29. Ace

Sanji and Chopper came back with local clothes and food. To Nami and Vivi he gave dancer outfits and you guys looked like bandits. Nami got up declaring that we would head for Yuba but Luffy is nowhere to be seen and he's the one who went on ahead. Chopper was sensitive to smell and couldn't handle that strong perfume scent. Before you can help Vivi get to Yuba you needed to find your captain. 

Usopp and Chopper are about to buy a golden apple when you hit the back of their heads lightly. "There's no way some apple is gonna make you live a thousand years." You stated pulling them away. "It's a scam." Zoro lifted the drape and there was someone painting them at the back. The rest went on ahead. "I hope its at least edible?" The guy who was painting shook his head. You hit him on the head mostly for wasting precious paint." You then put the paint in the fanny pack. Even if it was a scam don't put people's lives in danger. You walk ahead and saw everyone else hiding behind some barrels and got pulled into hiding by Sanji. Wondering who it was it was the sword police and Zoro's cousin. The marines were persistent to think they followed you guys all the way into the grand line. But why this island they were probably eaves dropping into some phone calls.

You guys the saw Luffy running in this direction with the marines following closely behind. You all start running away but if Smoker caught up it would be problematic. Smoker then sends his smoke towards you all but it gets blocked by a wall of fire. You all look to your savior who stopped the marine and it was Ace. "Ace!" You and Luffy both shout. "Luffy, Y/n you guys should run we'll talk later." You run ahead. You can't remember the last time you saw Ace he even got the mera-mera no mi. "Luffy how do you know him?" Nami asked. "Oh his my brother." The whole crew was shocked. "Brother !"

"But then how do you know him Y/n?" Nami then asked you after calming down from the shocking news. "His my big brother." 

"Then that means." 

You put your arm around Luffy's shoulder and he did the same and smiled answering the question. "We're siblings." They then fell face first but quickly got up and continued running away. "I had no idea you two were related." Nami said to you. " But you guys never asked so I assumed you knew." You all see a mix of smoke and fire in the sky rising high. This is what a fight between logia types looked like never ending. You noticed that Luffy was distracted and was going in a different direction it was up to you to go after him. 

"Ah I'm lost." Luffy had ended up in some alleyway. "Of course you are always going the wrong way." You pulled Luffy's cheeks and Ace came down from the roofs. The crew had probably set sail so you had to catch them before they go too far. Ace greeted Luffy and you could tell what we going to happen. "Three, two, one start." You then brought your hand down to start the match. They then arm wrestled on a barrel. They were both struggling to keep up with the other and the barrel broke. "Close but it's a draw." 

"Y/n you always call it a draw." 

"How is my cute little sister." You gave Ace a bear hug because you didn't settle for hand shakes. "Luffy you should join the Whitebeard pirates your crew is welcome too and so is Y/n.  I want to make him the king of pirates." Ace had lifted you up and was spinning you around. "Ace put me down I'm all grown now." You crossed your arms and everything and he just laughed at that.

"My answer is no." Luffy would never be anybody's subordinate. Ace looked at you hoping you would want to come with him. "You heard the captain." 

"You two never change." You left the alley to go look for the crew. Ace told you guys all about how he tried fighting Whitebeard when he first joined the crew. "Ace has Shirohige ever said he wants to be pirate king?" You asked him because there was no point in trying to make someone into something they're not. "Now that you mention it I've never heard him say anything like that. But no worries he will be pirate king."

"No! Luffy will be pirate king." Luffy then started telling Ace about all the crew members he gathered. There were some guys who blocked your path. "Fire fist Ace, Strawhat Luffy and grim reaper Y/n we will take your heads here and climb up the ranks." You all just walked passed ignoring the guy and whatever that was all about. They seemed persistent and started firing the bullets went through Ace and Luffy bounced them back. You used the smaller sword to slice those who came near. You all head down and see the ship ahead. Luffy starts waving and it seems like they've noticed us. Luffy wraps his hand around your waist and uses the other to catapult you towards the going Merry. 

You feared for whoever you were going to crash into. You were flying across the sea and saw Chopper so before you crashed into him you lifted him up to prevent him from getting flattened. "Ah thanks Y/n." "Of course Chopper what type of crew mate would I be if I let you get hurt." You gave him a hug and looked down to see Luffy's victim. "  Ah and you couldn't protect me?" You saw it was Zoro on the ground.

"Ah gomen , there's only so much I can do."

"Will your brother be okay." Sanji asked Luffy. " Ace is strong even when we were kids he beat me without a devil fruit. But now I can probably defeat him."

"What a baseless claim." Nami said.

" No you'd probably loose though." You said this But Luffy was still laughing like he could actually beat him. "Who can you beat Luffy?" Ace showed up landing on the rails. Sanji was going to light his cigarette but Ace lit it for him. You guys were being followed by at least five warships that belonged to baroque works. You were getting ready for combat. When Ace spoke up, "leave it to me I'll handle them." 

This was a chance to see how Ace had grown and know what the second division commander of the Whitebeard pirates was capable of.
