35. Captured

" Why should other people have to suffer when its Crocodile's fault." Luffy then punches Vivi back. "That's what I'm saying don't just put your life on the line put all of our lives on the line. AREN'T WE FRIENDS?" Vivi then started to tear up and got off the ground. "Then let me beat Crocodile's ass." We then entirely changed our course for Rainbase which was much closer than Katorea.

"Is there water in rainbase?" Usopp asked Vivi. "Yeah rainbase is a normal town not affected much. It's even a gambling city." My ears perked up at the word gamble and Nami's eyes turned into Berries. "Really gambling!?" I asked a little too excited. "Yup it's owned by Crocodile and goes by the name rain dinners." It was a little off putting that Crocodile owned the place but not enough to stop you from going there.

We saw rainbase in the distance and we saw a bunch of baroque works ships. This is the enemies base so they probably know that we are already in the area. Luffy just wants to beat up Crocodile.  “It doesn't matter I'll protect Vivi-chwan and Nami-swan . You girls can call me prince.” Sanji said this doing his noodle dance with a large heart in his eye.

“Prince." It was a low voice at the back from Zoro. "Prince I need food."
"Yeah prince we are hungry." This was from Usopp and Luffy respectively before they ran ahead to go get the food they so desired. The rest of us walked to the town and found a place to wait for the two. "I'm going to pee." Chopper said this and walked away. The marines were now running our way. Shit we need to escape this somehow. Luffy and Usopp had brought them right to us so now we needed to run.

I got off Kuro and made him go back into the cloak. We split up in running and I end up going with Zoro and Vivi. We are instantly surrounded by millions workers. "Vivi go ahead we'll catch up." I said ready to face off these guys with Zoro. Vivi ran away as we blocked the baroque works workers. Tashigi was there and Zoro seemed to be having some trouble so I had to just grab him and drag him away, no time for trauma. We headed to the front of the casino but when we reached there Vivi is nowhere to be seen. "Where is Vivi?" Nami asked. "She went ahead of us." Zoro answered. Before we could try yo figure out where she went Luffy came running towards and behind him was the man nobody wants to deal with right now Smoker. We ran all the way into the Casino when Luffy and Nami started shouting.

"Crocodile, Vivi where are you!" I couldn't pay attention to them now there are so many machines I had to just spin one. I put a coin into the slot and pulled the levery eyes glued onto the screen as the slots went round and round. The first one stopped and it was diamond giving me hope. The second one started slowing down as well and also landed on diamond and now it was the last one it was spinning then slowed down the cherry passed and it was about to land on banana but it continued and landed on the diamond. "Yess!" I was ecstatic about my win. I put the coins in a bag and dropped it in the hole. I turned around and saw the poker table. It was practically calling my name to go play. I had money now to be able to buy some chips and play. I was walking there to start the game when someone held my collar from the back.

I looked behind and it was Zoro. "Zoro-"
"No I don't want to hear it. There's a war going on right now."
"But poker..."
"There will be other chances to play."

Zoro was struggling to drag me away but I was clinging onto the leg of the table. I really wanted to play. I looked behind us and Smoker got in. What happened to no government figures?

There was no choice here. With a stinging feeling in my heart I let go of the table and started running away. We ran until the workers there started directing us to the VIP area. This is all too suspicious probably a trap. We run and there are two options for pirate and VIPs we were at a point we didn't know which to take.

"We should just go through the pirates one since we are pirates." Luffy stated. This could maybe work. What if Crocodile expects us to go to the VIP one? If we go through pirates it might not be what he expected. We ran to the pirates side and the floor began to open up and we fell into a cage. Great.

There was a high possibility that whatever side we took we would end up trapped regardless.

I got up and looked to the side and smoker was also here with us. "Why did you go to the pirates side and your a marine? You'd think the navy had enough money for reading lessons." Smoker took his stick thing about to hit me but I dodged and went to the other side of the room. "Its okay it is never too late to start learning now." Smoker ignored me and didn't say anything. Sometimes grown men wouldn't say if they're unable to do something.

Luffy touched the bars and then collapsed to the ground. This cage was probably sea prism. Zoro got his swords out and realised he couldn't cut the cage. Smoker got his stick and pinned Luffy down. "It's sea prism. A material with the same properties of the sea. This has the same thing on the tip." He said referring to his stick. "It is found in only one of the seas and weakens devil fruit users." He concluded his explanation and Luffy went right back to touching the cage.

"That means you also can't escape." Zoro said to Smoker.

"If I could I would have escaped a long time ago."

I walked up to the cage and felt the sea prism. I could do it but my energy is all used up from bringing the oasis back.
