68. Rust

After the announcement you instinctively looked up at Franky. He had an unreadable expression but clearly the older man was hurt.

"This is a report from battleship 2. The courthouse and the Tower of Law in the Southeast of the island as well as the underground passage connected to the bridge have all been destroyed. The only target left to attack is the bridge of hesitation."

The attack was going to come at one point or another but you didn't expect it to be so soon.

"Franky..." Usopp started.

"Those guys.." Sanji continued.

"Galley-la's shipwrights too." Zoro said.

"Oimo.....Kashii!" Sogeking said.

"I guess Yokozuna was with them too." Kokoro said.

"Is it really okay for people to die this easily." Nami said still holding off a couple soldiers.

"You can't see people on the map. They just erase a small island from the world map without a shred of emotion. That's what a Buster Call is." Robin stated. You could only hope that she didn't feel some type of guilt.

"Hurry up! Mugiwara ! Your friends are waiting for you here! Don't you dare die on us!" Franky was trying to make sure the crew hurried  up and got it over with before more people died. 

*Don't worry they're alive*

"Now I'm hearing voices." Franky said looking down holding his forehead. You were going to reassure him he wasn't crazy but then there was a sudden wave of energy and the ground started shaking. 

"Luffy..."

"Lucci is strong if Mugiwara hadn't kept him restrained in that place, I don't know how many of us would've died to be honest." Franky said. Luffy's fight was really heating up and would soon reach a conclusion.

"He won't die right?!" For such a brave warrior Sogeking was panicking a lot.

"Are you an idiot?" Zoro asked sounding more like a statement.

"What'd you say?! Only an idiot calls others idiots."

"He said what we were all thinking," you rebutted. The marines then started firing at the bridge.

"They destroyed half the bridge." Sanji said.

"Why did they do that?" Usopp asked. The voice on the speakers then started to talk.

"Mr. Rob Lucci of CP9 and Mugiwara no Luffy are in the first column! All ships! Take up positions around the bridge of hesitation!" The man on the speaker then continued. "On the bridge and the escort ship, we've identified 10 pirates including pirate hunter Zoro, Nico Robin and Grim reaper Y/n. It appears that they're the main force that defeated CP9 in the Tower of Law!"

"They're coming to take Robin again." Zoro said.

"We're not gonna let them." Nami proclaimed from the escort ship.

"Luffy-kun! We're here !" Sogeking shouts. 

"We all got to the bridge safely. We're okay!" Franky added. He was so strong to keep pushing forward despite everything.

"You don't have to worry about us Luffy-kun!" Sogeking added.

"We rescued Robin-chwan too!"

"All that's left is for you to defeat him." The cyborg spoke.

"Defeat him Luffy!" The shadow captain said.

"We'll all make it through this..." Sogeking said. 

"......and leave this place." The cook finished.

The marine addressing everyone had one last announcement, "to the two hundred elite captains and commanders take them out quickly." On command the ships were already hot on our tails. They had surrounded us, we had to hold them off as we wait for Luffy to be done with whatever it is was he was doing.

"Captains from the HQ? They are in the same class as that smoke freak! We're facing that many guys of that level?!" Usopp was panicking and in no way hiding it. 

"That's proof that they're scared of us." Zoro said with a cocky grin gracing his face. You began to crack your knuckles and stretching your legs.

"Well we have to deal with them at some point either way." You bend back and hear a 'pop' sound from the crack in your back, "Aah." 

"Hm? Where's Sanji?" You look around and can't see the blonde pervert anywhere. "He was there just a second ago." Usopp finishes.

"What? Where'd that idiot cook go at a time like this?" Roronoa was looking everywhere for him.

"Don't you guys have faith. Trust Sanji, we can handle this. As long as there're no admirals we can manage." You threw a thumbs up to the both of them with a smile similar to Luffy's. You then placed the 

"That logic is flawed!" Usopp shouts at me.

"All hands prepare for battle!"
" Let's go!"
" Yeah!"

"Enough talking bring it on!" Zoro unsheathed his swords and got ready to fight.

"Interesting, I'll go wild one more time." Franky said getting ready. "We'll stand our ground here with everything we've got!"

We were fighting and you were just throwing guys in the water and  everyone was trying hard. Franky was blasting people, Zoro cutting them down and Usopp doing all that he could.

You were throwing a marine off the bridge when you heard shouting. 

"Luffy! What're you doing?!" Sogeking then took off his mask. "Get up Luffy!"

These guys were many and they weren't the normal push overs that you usually dealt with. Usopp was yapping a lot and it got Lucci's attention. You were getting concerned at how often Luffy was loosing strength before the  fight fully ended. What would happen when two enemies appear at the same time one after another.

You removed friction from the bridge so that everyone that fell into the water  couldn't climb back up. 

"Watch out there some power holders!" Franky said and you made sure to get some kind of contact with them discreetly.  Zoro was fighting with a marine close by.

"I'll defeat you." Zoro attacked the marine but you watched as his sword turned to dust and crumble to the ground. 

"I ate the rust rust fruit and became a rust man, you can't defeat me."  You quickly put adira away and decided to use  fists for the time being. Once close enough you stole his skill.

"Dammit! My Yubashiri."

"I'll turn all your proud swords into rust." He then touched his elbow and Zoro started rusting.

You kicked the guy away from him. "Fire bird star!" Usopp then made sure the man was burning on the ground. It smelt like bacon. Zoro's rusted parts quickly turned back to normal.

"Are you good?" You asked him 

"Yeah." He was still  adjusting to the return of norm but didn't have enough time to do so. There was another announcement on the speaker.

"This is a report to all ships. Mr. Robb Lucci of CP9 has just been defeated by pirate Straw Hat Luffy."

*So I think I'll stop writing fight scenes all together I realised I don't like reading them, try focusing more on spending time with the characters. I've been watching Game of thrones recently and I'll write something short on that. Anyway you guys deserve the absolute best writing 😘. Also sorry for the short chapter got tired ━((*′д｀)爻(′д｀*))━!!!!
