Is It Over Now?

Chapter 5: Somebody

"Isn't this too early?" Yoongi asked as soon as he saw Jungkook drinking a beer in the living room.

"Would you like me to get you a bottle?" Jungkook asked.

"It's 10 am. Did you even have your breakfast?" Yoongi asked again while looking at Jungkook on his way to his kitchen.

"This is my breakfast." Jungkook answered while looking for a drink he can offer to Yoongi.

"Tell me what happened."

"You are Jimin's fiancée, I am sure you already know by now."

Yoongi sighed.

"You don't tell me you were still affected by that." Yoongi said but he knows Jungkook is.

Jungkook held the bar counter with both hands. He closed his eyes and tried to think better.

Yoongi was sure that the counter can be broken if it's not that hard.

"5 years and he's still the one bringing you this kind of state." Yoongi whispered to himself while looking at his friend. He is sure that Jungkook heard him. "I heard Mr. Kim likes the new guy." Yoongi suddenly said and took the beer from Jungkook's hand.

Jungkook opened his eyes and held the counter tighter. He never looked at Yoongi and just looked down.

"I think you know him. He attended the same school as ours." Yoongi continued.

"Why are you saying all these to me?" Jungkook asked with angry look.

"Probably for you to move on?" He answered.

Jungkook wanted to punch something. He is so mad right now.

"If you plan on punching me, you better be ready to pay for my insurance." Yoongi said knowing very well the look in Jungkook's eyes. "Kim Namjoon is the guy." Yoongi said again and proceeded in drinking Jungkook's own can of beer.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to check on the new song if you are cool with the lyrics and all. You might have forgotten but you need to send your feedback to me today because I'll be on leave starting tomorrow to complete the preparation for my wedding."

Jungkook breathe out and slowly calming down.

"I'm sorry, dude. I will send my feedback."

"You better, or I will tell Jimin that the delay is on you. He'll be more than happy to kill you."

"How was the feeling of getting married?" Jungkook suddenly asked.

"It's the same feeling as moving in with the person you truly love. It's just that with marriage, it's permanent." Yoongi answered looking sadly at his friend. "You also need to prepare well since you'll be my best man."

Jungkook smiled at him and nodded.

Yoongi finished the can of beer in one go and threw it at the trash can. "Stop drinking and finish the song. You still owe me this and I'll be officially on vacation after."

"I will. Ju--just... just let me rest a little bit."

Yoongi stood up and moved beside Jungkook. He tapped his shoulder. Jungkook looked at him sadly but with a smile.

"I just can't be that somebody, huh?" He asked Yoongi.

"You were that somebody. You just lost your chance to be that somebody of him forever."

"I want him to be my somebody forever but I guess I'm too late. You are right. I need to move on."
