Today marked the second day of LEAP testing for Summer and all grades 3-8. Later that day, Ms. Gleason had to leave early, but not before delivering her trademark speech, known as the "We Don't Need 5th Grade Recognition" speech, which lasted a good 30-32 minutes.

After enduring Ms. Gleason's speech, they headed to the 4th-grade class because Ms. Pooler wanted them to vote for various titles like class comedian or most passionate. As they were voting, Ms. Pooler suddenly announced the title of "The student who shows the most school spirit." Without missing a beat, Troy lightly yelled out, "Summer, y'all say Summer!" Summer's face turned bright red as everyone started voting.

In a rush of excitement, everyone hurried to Ms. Pooler's desk to submit their sticky notes with their votes and then returned to their seats.

Later, as Ms. Pooler announced the winners, Summer's heart raced with anticipation. When she heard her name called out as the winner of "The student who shows the most school spirit," she couldn't believe it! It was all thanks to Troy's spontaneous shout-out, and from that moment on, Summer was on cloud nine for the rest of the day.
