    ''Positive again,'' Mandy said, holding up the fifth test.
    ''Shiiit,'' Kodi whispered. ''You know the worst bit's not the kid.''
    ''What's worse than 'havin' a baby at sixteen?'' Mandy asked.
    ''Not knowin' who the father is'' Kodi declared.
    'Shit, I 'adn't thought of that. You're such a slag.' Mandy smirked, and Kodi nodded, lying down on the bed. ''Paternity test?'' she suggested.
    Suddenly, Malakai walked in. ''It's an option.''
    ''How much did you 'hear?'' Mandy asked.
    'The lot. Mum and dad 'asn't heard, thankfully... When was your last shag, Gallagher?'' Malakai asked Kodi.
    ''Few days ago,'' Kodi said.
    ''So it could be his?'' Malakai mused. But before Kodi could nod, he added, ''Problem is, our parents are downstairs, talkin' weddings.''
    ''And I'll deal with 'em,'' Mandy replied.
    "How, Mandy, it might... not even be mine.." Malakai hesitated.
    ''What if it is, Lips?'' Kodi asked. ''What does that mean for us?''
    'I don't know... I knew this was a bad idea..." 
    ''Could still be yours?'' Kodi suggested timidly.
    ''And it could still be 'is,'' Malakai yelled.
    ''Maybe I should leave,'' Malakai said, grabbing Kodi's hand.
    ''No... you're not going anywhere.. whatever 'happens I'm 'ere..''

    ''Because... I love you, Kodi.. Lips baby or not, I'll love you and that Gallagher fuckers baby,'' Malakai declared, kissing her "marry me, Kodi?"

    Mandy got up from the bed. ''Right, we'll go tomorrow for the tests.''
    ''What about our folks?'' Kodi asked.
    'Ours already know... don't ask me 'how. And... Test, then tell them. And as for Lip?'' Malakai ordered. ''Don't you say a word to 'im.''
    Why?" Kodi says titling her head 
    "We want to make sure it's mine before we break the news. For now, you 'ave a wedding to prepare for,'' Mandy added.
    "Oh, you're 'havin' a laugh. What if it's not yours ?" 
    "I don't know" 
    "What am I gonna tell me dad?'' Kodi groaned.
    "That your getting married, it's the truth ain't it?" Mandy says, making them slightly amused and laugh
