"Sam? SAM!" Emily yelled for her fiancé as he stormed out of the house, an anger coursing through his veins like he had never felt before.

They were coming back.

All of them.

Billy had just called, Carlisle had called the chief, informing him of the reinstatement of the treaty, and Sam was seeing red. He understood the importance of the treaty and why it protected his people, but at the moment he didn't care. They hurt her. Cori. In ways he couldn't even begin to understand, but he tried.

He was there. He would hold her when she would wake up screaming, when she stopped eating, when she hated herself for what she was, when she wanted to end it all because it would be easier. He was there.

Climbing in his truck, he tore out of the drive, thinking that if he was in something he needed, that it would keep him from phasing, but it was proving difficult.

Following the sweet stench of vampire, he found his way, and before he knew it, he was outside the Cullen house. Carlisle was the first outside the door, Emmett standing behind him.

"Sam?" "Where is he?" Sam asked deadly calm, calm enough that it made the two vampires on edge. "Edward? He's inside. Please, come in." Carlisle said, inviting the wolf in, but Sam declined.

"I suggest you send him outside." Sam said and Carlisle nodded hesitantly and within a blink of an eye Edward was beside his creator.

"Sam." Edward nodded, already wincing at the thoughts that the wolf was trying to hold back, but were slipping through. "I need to talk to you." Sam told him, not an ounce of emotion in his voice. "About?" Edward asked as he took a step forward, yet Rosalie placed a hand on his arm. "Cordelia." Sam said her name stiffly as if it hurt him to say her name in his presence. "What about her?" Edward asked, shrugging off his sister's warning, not noticing Alice's state of seemed confusion as he stepped forward, right in front of the wolf.

Before anyone had a chance to move, Sam shifted, his pent up anger and frustration quite literally exploding out of him as he pounced on the Cullen, pinning him to the ground. Edward's chest started to crack from the wolfs weight, buckling in on its self as the wolf snarled in his face.

Sam could easily take his head and be done with it, yet he hadn't, why?

"Wait!" Edward choked out, seeing his family rush forward, yet still at his words, as his mind got bombarded with thoughts, pictures, memories.

Cori when she was a child. Playing in the mud, the two of them making pies in Sam's mother's pie plates, pretending to eat them at the end of the day, and having his mother judge them.

Cordelia as a teenager, in her tomboy phase, where all she wore were cut offs and tank tops. She would catch frogs and hide them in Sam's shoes as he despised the little creatures.

When she met Edward, how happy she was. How complete she seemed to be.

When she met Bella, and how she knew everything was how it should be. The three against the world.

The big fight between the two of them that drove them apart.

Cori's birthday, and how Sam had left her present on her door step as he figured she didn't want to see her, when that was all she truly wanted.

The Cullen's leaving, how heartbroken Cori was. How she just stopped. She stopped living. She didn't eat, she didn't go to school, she didn't sleep, she just didn't. She cut Bella out of her life, she cut her father out, her friends everyone, she was completely alone.

How when her mom came back, and broke her heart even more.

Cori's panic attacks and anxiety.

Her night terrors

Her self hatred

Let alone her powers

The deaths

Then bella leaves for you,

And then you have the nerve to show your face here again, I should take it clean off.

Sam growled inside of his head as his eyes bore into Edward's golden ones.

Edward gasped out in mental, physical, and emotional pain. He never meant to cause Cordelia this much pain, it was much more than he ever imagined. Heartbreak he thought, but this was more. This, is was a mate bond on both sides.

Usually the human only feels a fraction of what the vampire does, but then Edward remembered the conversation he had with Carlisle before they left. She wasn't all human. She was a Banshee, at least they thought she was, a mná doiléir hybrid. She is supernatural, she is one of them.

Edward was disappointed in himself, for not understanding the importance, the way this would affect not only Bella, but also Cordelia.

Bonds work both ways, they work as both anchors, or as a helium balloon that was just let go. It could with keep you grounded, keeping you on a steady path, or it can let any little thing blow you around, letting you spiral out of control until you eventually get popped.

Apart they are all balloons, Edward and Bella are building back the ship, but their anchor, Cori, she is still very much a balloon.

Part of Cordelia died the day that Edward left, he took it with him, and it had just started the collapse of Cordelia. The slowly deteriorating relationship between Bella and Cori seemed to help further her deteriorating condition and Edward didn't know how much more she could take. He had seen mates that had lost their other half, how it had drove them to insanity. He didn't want that for Cori, he had never wanted that for her.

The two were broken apart by a rumble of an engine and a slamming of a door. As soon as she was in eye sight, everyone was looking at her.

Cordelia Austin was pissed.

"Samual Uley! Get off of him!" Cori yelled as she held a fist full of clothes in her hand. Sam stepped off, hearing an audible crackling as Edward breathed in.

"Cori?" Edward gasped, seeing her for the first time since being back. "Don't." Cori snapped. "Cordelia, please." "DON'T SAY MY FUCKING NAME." Cori snarled at him, her eyes wild with anger.

Looking back at the now human Sam, Cori huffed. "Emily's worried out of her mind. Go home." She told him. He huffed, yet got in his truck and left.

Without saying another word, Cori walked back to her Jeep, but as a hand grasped her arm gently, she grabbed them, tossing them into the woods. Meeting the shocking faces of the Cullens, Cori noticed her purple eyes in the side mirror of her jeep.

Noticing it was Jasper who was now walking out of the woods, picking a leaf out of his hair with a chuckle, casting her a smirking glance, one she glared at, she left with a last statement. "Next one to touch me loses a limb. Fucking vampires." She growled as she tore out of the Cullen's drive as fast as she could.

A/N: I know this is not nearly as dramatic as you guys want it to be, but, as you know also know, Cori knew all of the Cullens very well, so her reactions to all of them being back are going to be different, not just a collective hatred. Yes, she is mad, and does hate a select few, and yes we will see that, I promise. Let me know how you think this chapter went!
